Mayweather vs. Cotto post fight Thread -DON'T make new threads about the fight

Well a ton of people don't remember that FLoyd was calling out Cotto in 05-06, but Top Rank said "Cotto isn't ready for Floyd". Than, when Floyd announced he was retiring after Hatton, they started the whole he's avoiding this guy or that guy thing.

I think it proves Floyd has no problem fighting TR guys, it's Arum who has the problem. He doesn't want to see Floyd get any money.

I remember that time and Cotto WASN'T ready. He'd been fighting 140 lb guys with maybe 22-23 fights. I saw all his fights and he'd been staggered and dropped in several of those fights. Mayweather had already has a few welterweight fights, and had just won the Welterweight title. The difference in experience between them was obvious. I think Top Rank was correct. They knew what they were doing, making him a star.

Mayweather was up to his usual tricks trying to get a good fighter in the ring at a disadvntage, before he became better.

How do you know those number required are the exact same~ did you see both offer first hand. Were you sneaking around Floyd crib drigging through the garbage for crumpled up papers in the trash. If you did cool, but that is pretty creepy~

Different situations, Floyd was pissed at Oscar because he felt he deserved a better offer. He would have still been well paid against Cotto and he would have been the star of the show making the big cut~

He did fight Hatton after all~ which was a lesser figh than an Oscar rematch so how do you know what would have been acceptable to him.

Floyd does have an ego, it just needed to be worked correctly and everything could have been worked out~

Or they meet Floyd's demands~ you certianly don't have to like those demands though and can feel about them as you wish but that is how Floyd feels so it is kind of important to the situation.

But if you step back and look, you know who has been preventing this fight from happening.

1. At the beginning people thought the fight was almost signed, 50/50 was ok with Mayweather. Everyone thought the fight was on, including Pacquiao, then he throws a curve ball, the OSDT. Pacquiao agrees to 28 day cutoff, Mayweather says 14 days. No fight.

2. Second round of talks, Pacquiao agrees to the 14 days, Mayweather changes his mind, it was ok before but now it's not, why? Again no fight.

3. Pacquiao finally agrees to whatever Mayweather's testing demands are. Mayweather throws another curve ball, 50/50 used to be ok, now it's not, why? Again no fight.

If you look at the common denominator here, someone has been consistently throwing curve balls and road blocks from making this fight. While the other guy keeps making concessions to those demands to try and make the fight.

1.Drug testing
2. 40 mill
3. May 5.
4. Only in las-vegas coz I can use xyclocain
5.(next) Floyd to Pac: Lets fight @ 154 punk!
6. (next) Gloves
7. (next) what panties they should wear.
What's next?
8. Not allowed to train in the Philippines?
9. No booking after fight concerts?
10. No Arum?

got no love for the old man but if you make him the sole promoter of the fight he will make it happen in a heartbeat. floyd will not allow it though because he hates arum and he also wants a big piece of the promotional profit that's why he's not willing to have arum control the promotions.

that's the dealbreaker right there...floyd is not satisfied with just the money he earns as a fighter while arum is not happy that he can't make the kind of money that he makes for doing in-house fights.

so the culprit here is not just arum but the animosity between him and floyd and their desire to gain more wealth.
