Andre Ward will lose to Arthur Abraham.

It's not very likely that AA can win on points, even though he led Jermain Taylor comfortably before the KO. It's fair to say that AA's chance against Ward is only that of a punchers. I think AA should work hard on the uppercut and the short hooks to try and time Ward as he rams to the inside.Comment

I just watched fight camp and it included Froch V Abraham
Christ, Abraham made it easy for Froch.Comment

I think Froch's power phazed Abraham. Froch repeatedly ripped in some punishing blows. Blows that was probably (likely) harder and more consistent than anything Abraham had ever tasted before, and that includes Miranda and Taylor.Comment

...or not lose in the supersix at all.
Abraham is the only fighter representing a challenge to Ward's skills. Ward likes to go (head first) on the inside most often and doing damage at close range. That tactic bears the risk of an encounter with an abrahammer that will doom Ward's suspect chin.
So far Abraham's blueprint of defeat is to stay on the outside and work hard with the jab and hook to the body.
So far we haven't seen Ward being able to do that. Not even against Sakio Bika where Ward also went inside despite knowing that Bute and Calzaghe was more succesful from the outside.
lol?
hook to the body from the outside?
you cannot do that unless you're an octopus or a squid, or have stretch arms
the way to beat abraham is to pick spots that he doesn't want to work and score points (the entire first 8 rounds of the fight, and the first half of every round after 8)
move in and get your work done
and get out and away from his attacks when they actually come
jermain taylor, in his shot to **** glory, provided the blueprint to beat arthur abraham, until he got hit on the chin with punches he couldn't even take on the gloves he was so far gone
carl froch outboxed abraham in a clinic
he couldn't do a bit with froch's best cutie impression
he got outclassed!
what the hell is he going to do with a gold medalist and pure boxer who hasn't lost since he was 12 years old
dirrell's soft as a g****, but even he was man enough to beat the snot out of abraham for almost ten rounds
and if dirrell's shortcomings (mental weakness) didn't rear their ugly head he had put in the work to easily coast his way to a UD
ward is as mentally solid as any young fighter i've come across
dude is all the parts of a confident you want while remaining humble
and without any bit of the negative implications that come with confidence, like carelessness and lacking discipline
i'll take your bet, dude
straight up if odds if you think abraham's going to win
300 mil e-points?
confirm and i'll sig it
and for the record
you cant hook to the body from the outside
you just cant do it
you aren't outside if you're close enough to hook to the body
abraham is open for everything
he covers up and wont throw back
ward will have no time moving either in and out
or all the way in
or all the way out. it really doesn't matter
and grinding him down to an easy ud or late stoppageLast edited by New England; 05-11-2011, 04:50 PM.Comment
