Berto has had millions of dollars invested in him and been showcased on HBO countless times.. The fact that despite all that he's still managed not to have a signature fight? That failure has to be on him and his team. IMO he's pretty much become the icon of what's wrong with boxing and how not to spend boxing dollars. He's probably the biggest culprit in making HBO sports look like they are in the wrong business.

I usually like boxers with a style like Berto. But I cannot be his fan because of his cowardice attitude and weak resume.

          What are your dream fights?

If it could all be worked out, and I'm telling you this because I know that people are always reading about these sort of things on blogs and this and that. They say that I don't want to fight this person or that person, and that I don't want to face the big name guys.

But I'm letting you know now that if it was all up to me, after Freddy Hernandez, if I could line things up for next year then it would be Shane Mosley, Miguel Cotto and then Manny Pacquiao. If I could get all three of them next year, you know, that would be my route that I would want to go in.

Then, I think that with that, I would be able to be satisfied. That would definitely satisfy myself and that would definitely show where I'm at.

True and also his biggest fight which was vs Collazo was one most people think he lost. The other woulda been vs Mosley , but he pulled out just days before the fight.

Yet he has not pursued the fights

Plus every fighter says that, but its the ones the actually pursue it that deserve praise

Berto has won the jackpot in prizefighting terms.

He fights for big purses against overmatched opponents.

Yes that would be great, except his asking price is so inflated from how overpaid he's been. He will have to willingly take paycuts from the days of Freddy Hernandez and Juan Urango to get those fights made. Furthermore, it doesn't matter what he says. I mean David Haye would have knocked out both Klitschkos by now if you go by what boxers claim. Mayweather should mostly be done with his "hit list" by now.

A press release talking about fighting good fighters is worthless. He needs to make something happen. Personally I'm not all that impressed with a Victor Ortiz fight, however anything and I mean anything is an improvement over Freddy Hernandez.
