People are very romantic about that era of heavyweight.Comment

You can only play the cards you are dealt, and you either play them well or play them badly.
The Klitschkos are winners and they play them very well.Comment

This overrated racist ****sucker is lucky he made a career fighting blown up welterweights and defending against bums.
Literal bums in most cases. Some fighters give you Gatti/Ward 123, Hopkins gives you Hopkins/Allen 123.
Each fight worse than the last.
If the Klitschko's were white he'd be bending over for them doing his best Soapy impression.
This is more racism from Hopkins.Comment

Lewis wasn't "over the hill" when he got his ass whooped by Vitali.
Lewis was 37, not really that old for a heavyweight.
Vitali turns 40 in July and Wlad turns 35 in March.
Lewis was coming off the KO win over Tyson. In the Lewis-Tyson post fight interview Lewis stated "I'm like fine wine, I get better with age"
In an interview right before the Vitali fight, Lewis said "I'm at the peak of my powers, I will keep fighting for many more years"
Vitali dominated Lewis and scared him into retirement. That's a FACT.
Them square heads got nothing on Lewis. Not even a prime Vitali could beat an old Lewis hahahahahaComment

Holmes I'm not really gonna argue about, his resume ain't that impressive. But you can't say Wlads resume is any better either, Holmes beat Norton and Shavers. Name anybody on Wlads resume who was as good as any of those two?Comment

Foreman: great fighter, one of my faves.
Liston: threw both fights to Clay because he was in deep to the mob, who thought Clay would go over better with American whites (they were right) than badass Sonny.
Liston was a bad dude, however. I would have liked to see him fight Clay for real.
Frazier: another fave of mine, but too small to compete with a K-Bro (see what happened to him vs Foreman).Comment
