Not a Berto-Cintron fight. Berto is in a tough spot. There are just no good opponents for him to fight. I don't like the dude, but I have to defend him a little bit because everybody is spitting venomous hate towards him and asking for unrealistic fights.
And I find it funny of how the Ricans are on this thread bashing Berto for this fight while Cotto is fighting an even worse opponent in a washed up Mayorga who has to drain a bunch of pounds. And Berto offered Cotto a fight and Cotto ducked him. Remember this people.
and Cotto said no way jose! Most likely Arum was against
it. Cotto was always famous for saying "I fight whoever my
promoter wants me to fight" Berto/Cotto would have been
a good match up for both. 1. to test Berto skills as an elite
and to help build Cotto back up by beating the young champion.
I wouldn't mind seeing Berto/Williams as well.

but the two post I replied to is indeed fact.

tough and best challenges to further their careers. Seems like they
want to hustle the sport of boxing by making lil effort and the most
cash. Berto/Williams would put some hope back in boxing.

Michael Phelp's through the ropes. What in the hell possessed
Cintron to go out like that? He was dinging up Paul pretty good
before he went crazy. Guess the pressure was too much for him.

Ortiz left his heart in Maidana's glove that night. He never got it back.
I can still see Ortiz saying: "you know what...that punch hurt my lip, I retire man... I just don't like this anymore."
Gayest "No Mas" in Boxing History. No stool needed. He casually walked in a circle and said... "No thanks." < fcked up...

Maidana and winning earlier in the match. That was a great
action packed fight till he quit. His excuse was even worst
"I'm too young to take this much punishment" How could he
even look in Oscar's and Mosley face and tell them that? I
think alot of these young fighters are like Ortiz because their
promoters try to groom them to be the next big thing while
not challenging them and testing their heart and once that
one fighter comes along with the grit and hunger the rising
prospect folds. Nothing was wrong with boxing back in the
day. why did they have to change it? Instead of warriors
all we have in this generation are cry babies and spoiled b****.
Props to Bradley and Alexander for mixing it up while their still
young and undefeated. No losers in that match.Last edited by GRUSTLER; 01-22-2011, 10:01 AM.
