Just because the cost per square foot is low doesn't mean it's not a terrible deal. There are 2500 sq ft houses in Detroit that are $500. There are reasons people aren't buying them.
NFL doesn't play that, your capacity is your capacity and if you don't sell out blackout.

That isn't a terrible deal either, you may not want to live there but to just buy and hold on to eventually raze it and sell the empty lot for more than $500+the cost of removing the house. Especially if that is your business.

Agreed. If people don't think there is some money in Detroit just look at the cost of Red Wings tickets and the average attendance at those games. Look at some of the concerts in Detroit. The Lions sell out when they are at least mediocre, and the Tigers have sold tickets in recent years. None of that stuff is cheap and people go. If people want to go to sporting events they will go.

Ford Field continues to have thousands of empty "club seats" when the games are "sold out".

Look how long the Pistons had for their sell out streak and that's with the Palace having the second largest capacity in the NBA. 113,000 people every Michigan game and 70,000 for Michigan State games. Michigan/Detroit is one of the best sports town/states in the country. People aren't going to the fight because they are "poor".

It is. The sports are probably the main thing I miss about Michigan.

Yea because the Lions have been jokers since they have been at Ford Field until this year. Guess what they sold out 6 of 8 home games this year and will probably sell out all 8 next year.

The worst run of an NFL team in the recent history of the league is going to lead to empty seats no matter your capacity.

That wasn't my point man. I was addressing your statement "NFL doesn't play that, your capacity is your capacity and if you don't sell out blackout" not the hideous run the Lions have had in recent years. Ford Field's capacity is greater than the "sold out" number.

only white people go to NBA games. reminds me of that Chappelle's show clip where there were only 2 black guys at a knicks game.

the michigan games and state games are attended by white people.

white people have given up on boxing.

Not really, it is within a couple percent the bigger the stadium the bigger that number and the bigger the stadium the harder it is to reach.

They could get to like 72k but that is more than 1/8 empty.

The NFL is real strict on blackouts with the exception of giving teams extra time to get the sell out if they think it can happen.

They ain't done a damn thing to promote it as far as I can tell................HBO must have given up all their money to cover Andre Squirto's purses last year..way to go guys!!
