It is a lot more expensive to put a fight on in New York, would be why they wouldn't try that. Oh and neither guy are known in that market either.

Say what you will but with the deal the promoters got there is almost no way they can lose money, going to New York is a totally different bracket of risk, unless MSG threw them a million (and if MSG was willing to do that maybe the fight would have been there).

They should have held it in Europe. This fight would be a gaurantee sell-out in the UK.
        Would it fúck.

I can't think of a viable stadium or arena it would sell out and we have plenty of sub 6,000 arenas. It wouldn't even get many viewers over here because no one knows who they are. And American viewing audiences will plummet because American viewers wouldn't tune it at 1pm in the afternoon for it.

If it's not Khan, Haye or Hatton the UK don't care. They are the only ones who could sell out arenas.

        • St.louis could still outsell this on three weeks notice, I understand those harping on 600k site fee, but how much are the fighters making and how could having this fight in a dead arena be good for either fighter the fans HBO or the sport, thats not even counting King & Shaw. makes no sense, it's not St.Louis or Devon fault that Bradley can't sell anything, St.Louis would have come out for this like Spinks Vs Judah, Kotelnik was pretty much unknown here and people still showed up to support devon. Our local fights can do 339 with no promo lmao.

            • look, even pac can't sell out in the silverdome.

even if wifebeater jr fought in the silverdome, it wouldn't sell, and the puto is from MI.

Probably because those are both a few hundred miles closer to St. Louis.

The Lions with Barry Sanders could not sell out the Silverdome, ain't no way a fight is doing that.

Well maybe the biggest possible fight with a lot of lead time but you would be talking almost 100k (when set up for max capacity for a fight). That is asking an awful lot.

                    • 150K that the fight has atleast 6000 in attendance on fight night, weather its paid or not.
