    1) The fight promotes itself, it would be easily the biggest and most lucrative Heavyweight fight in the last seven years (since Lewis-Vitali), without any promotion at all. Instead, Haye has killed the fight completely and for ever (if you believe what he says), which means that the biggest and most lucrative Heavyweight fight for at least seven years won't happen ever, because Haye doesn't want it to.

    2) HBO, Sky and RTL, Wlad, and Haye would all have started promoting the fight the moment it was signed. They would not have waited until after the Chisora fight - that claim is utter bullshit. So they'd have had nearly 6 months in which to promote the fight, not 9 weeks.

    3) Given Haye's record of pulling out of fights, it's not surprising that Wlad wanted a stay busy fight before July. He simply didn't trust Haye not to pull out again, and I don't blame him.

    4) Haye was also offered a fight with Vitali in July 2, and turned that down as well. He didn't only turn down the fight with Wlad. Vitali is fighting on March 19, which is 15 weeks before July 2, and that is plenty of time to promote any fight. So what's your excuse for Haye turning down a fight with Vitali on July 2? Haye has remained strangely silent on the subject.

    5) If Haye genuinely had a concern that July was too soon after the Chisora fight, he could have signed to fight Wlad in September, as Adamek is now about to do. There would have been no problem with TV dates in September. But he turned that offer down as well - and has not come up with any explanation for doing so. Instead he has said that he intends to retire without ever fighting either brother. How do you excuse that?

Are all the pieces of the puzzle falling into place yet for you Wlad fans? and why couldn't Haye sign for July 2nd?

How could he take on Haye later this year when Haye has recently stated categorically that he is not willing to fight either Klitschko, this year or ever, and that he intends to fight Chagaev and then retire?

He sacrificied numerous requests of Wlad to try and scupper the deal, calling his bluff.

When there was nothing left to scupper the deal, Wlad went and signed to fight someone else.

That meant Wlad himself CANNOT sign a unification fight with Haye so the deal is void.
I'm afraid you're talking rubbish, Kris. There's nothing whatsoever stopping them from signing now to fight each other in July - just as Adamek is about to sign a contract with Wlad now to fight in September. There are hundreds of precedents for people signing to fight each other even though one of them has already signed to fight a tune-up in the meantime. The WBA would not have enforced the mandatory with Chagaev if Haye had signed now to fight Wlad in July - and even in the extremely unlikely event that they did try to enforce it, Chagaev would certainly have accepted step-aside money in those circumstances. You're just clutching at straws.

Which is precisely why Wlad did agree to July 2 - but Haye turned the fight down. Haye also turned down a fight with Vitali on July 2, and also turned down a fight with either brother in September.

Yes Haye seemed to stop evening mentioning VItalis name after that ugly beating he gave Briggs

That's irrelevant because Haye would not be stripped of his belt if he signed now to fight Wlad on July 2. But he refused to do so.

Good for Wlad. Haye doesn't deserve the fight anyway. Adamek is FAR and away more deserving. His win over Arreola trumps ANYTHING Haye has done at HW to date. That much, I think we can all agree on. Factor that in with the fact that he's been nothing more than a prick at the bargaining table, I say Wlad is doing the right thing by leaving him in the dust. Haye needs Wlad more than Wlad needs Haye at this point, and Wlad knows it. That's why Wlad calls the shots. Haye is a coward, and if he fights Chagaev, he'll have his hands full......mark my words.

The belt is rightfully Wlad's anyhow, seeing as he actually beat the linear WBA champ in Chagaev. Haye can go to hell with all this bull. He doesn't want the fight, and anyone who isn't British can clearly see this. Fighting Audley Harrisson in his last fight? Come on. Audley was barely ranked in the top 50 at the time, FFS. Haye's a joke, and I hope someone along the lines of Chagaev beats the tar out of him just to prove it. We all can see what a fraud he is.

I did not say anything about Haye being stripped of his belt. I'm talking about loosing it to Chagaev. And the likelihood of that, IMHO, is very high.
