I read it somewhere, but whether he was literally offered one then or not, he did not say he would be willing to fight Wlad in September, just not in July - he said he would not be willing to fight either of the Klitschkos ever, and it is impossible to justify that. Wlad says the fight with Haye is still on the table if Haye wants to change his mind, and that if Haye doesn't want it, he'll fight Adamek in September (whereas if Haye wants it, he says Vitali will fight Adamek in September). So all Haye has to do if he really wants the fight is call Wlad's bluff and say he's willing to sign but only if the fight is in September rather than July, which would throw the ball back into Wlad's court. But instead, he's said he doesn't want to fight either Klitschko ever. Which means he's effectively turned down a fight with Wlad in September, whether he was literally offered that date or not.

What I said was that whether he was literally offered it or not is irrelevant, because he has stated categorically that he is not willing to fight either of the Klitschkos ever. Which means it's not just that he doesn't want to fight in July, but he'd accept a later date - he said he doesn't want to fight them ever. Which includes September. So being offered a contract is irrelevant? you said he was offered a fight in September when he clearly wasn't they set up the Chisora fight and Adamak pretty quickly which would suggest no contract was offered to Haye in September and they had been in talks with Adamak for awhile. So after that Haye said screw them. Although since Haye is a consist liar according to Wlad fans so why would you take his word for it. Haye plans to retire in October even though I doubt this myself but if he does the fault for a fight not happening this year will be Wlad's not Haye's.

I truly have no idea what's going on here between Haye and Wlad. I got lost a couple of weeks ago

Initially, I supported Haye because of K2's absurd negotiating tactics and the ****ty low-ball offer that they made in 2009. And also because in spite of that ridiculous offer from K2, the "coward" rubbish that I have seen directed toward a number of other fighters was starting to be directed toward Haye.

But since he won the WBA strap I have been getting the distinct impression that K2 want that fight much more than Haye. He has pissed them off, that's for sure

Haye got what he wanted by going a different route. After he became champ I was pretty sure that he would take every attractive risk/reward fight, and then bank the big payday from a unification bout with Wlad just before he retired.

But lately, in every recent interview, Haye has gone out of his way to mention that he will be retiring at the end of the year, and that he does not need to fight Wlad because he is happy with what he has achieved.

Not a good look.

Of course, he could just be mouthing that to exert pressure on K2, emphasising that they only have a small window in an effort to place himself in a better position. Who knows man, I'm screwed here.

Like I said earlier, I have no idea what's really going on here, the Chisora fight seems unnecessary in light of the situation, but then who is Haye to tell Wlad who, when, and where, to fight?

If David Haye retires at the end of this year without fighting a unification bout, I will not accept that he did "everything that I could to make a fight with Klitschko".

His premature self-imposed retirement date is an easily reversable decision.

End of story.

Also, I cannot accept that Wlad is ducking Haye, that just doesn't seem to fit the picture, anymore than I can accept the "coward" rubbish directed toward Haye.

Exactly. And as for the rest of that guy's post, it's obvious that Wlad did what he did simply because he doesn't trust Haye. And I don't blame him.

So you are agreeing that the fight 9 weeks before was not a tune-up then. If it wasn't a tune-up, and he wanted Hayes so badly, then he could have done it differently. Right?

What happened to those clips of Hayes wanting Vlad and his brother and he would do anything to get those fights?
Same with Vlad. His videos are more recent, yet he has 2 fights lined up? To have 2 other fights lined up, no matter what the dates are, puts in question, how focused was Vlad in getting the fight with the guy (Hayes) that he badly wanted to fight (again see video clips)?

I am out-of-the-loop, I missed a few Haye/K2 threads over New Year, and now it's gotten real messy man.

Chisora = you can *** off

Adamek = you can wait, or..... go beat up Chisora or something

Haye / Wlad = you can both give yourselves an uppercut. WTF?

I don't get that Wlad is talking about Chisora and Adamek, whilst accusing Haye of ducking him..... but in saying that, for at least the last year or so, I have been getting the distinct impression that K2 want that fight way more than Haye.
