Why would he risk the biggest payday of his career against a guy with nothing to lose who doesn't deserve a title shot?

Haye is being smart.

I thought Chagaev was just a "walk in a park" for Haye, "easy KO in two rounds" (unless he tells his family and friends to bet on the third round).
Haye is not going to fight Chagaev. He will jerk him around for weeks and dump him a day before the fight (just like Valuev did).

Yeah I'm not really sure why Haye would be so worried about his (undeserved) paper belt when presented with an opportunity to fight Wlad for his three (including the Ring) legit belts. Wlad already beat the legit holder of Haye's belt.

The contract that Wlad signed with Chisora for their Dec 2010 fight, stipulates that Wlad must still fight him. Haye is trying to get Wlad in there with 10 months without a fight in his 15th year as a pro, so he can get lucky and then retire. Wlad ain't having it.

Facts?

Haye has not pulled out of the fight.

He sacrificied numerous requests of Wlad to try and scupper the deal, calling his bluff.

When there was nothing left to scupper the deal, Wlad went and signed to fight someone else.

That meant Wlad himself CANNOT sign a unification fight with Haye so the deal is void.

Haye also has to face someone quickly, making it all un-realistic and not so doable.

Furthermore, he made absolute sure by quickly signing another fight, even tho he said the Haye fight and belt is all he wanted once.

It's been exposed as bull crap, Wlads attempted stunts are clear to see, and those that defend it are also regularly ironically, completely naive to the actual facts.

wrong! Wlad even went on record recently and said he is still willing to fight with Haye in april if he would just sign the contract. You believe anything Haye says ,but in fact,Haye said(not Wlad) he will Not fight Wlad if he fights Chisora in april.eveything Haye said was crap. If Wlad wanted Haye so bad he would agree to July 2nd Haye himself said they both agreed that date with venue,TV etc fact is that if Wlad didnt choose to fight Chisora the fight would be signed and we would be discussing who would win not who ducked who.

P.S Didn't Wlad say before he would fight him anywhere at anytime.

In all fairness to Haye (and I can not believe that I’m actually saying this), without the belt, 50:50 is going to be off the table; which will give David the old “slave contract” excuse again.
