Nothing worse than reading ''LOL SRL eazy peezy'' over and over.

The fact that we're comparing one of the best welterweights of all time in his first weightclass, to one of the best SFW's of all time in his fourth weightclass is a massive and deserving compliment to Floyd.
it's still the same answer, but I already mentioned the problem with comparing them fighting each other at ww

Better watch this video on how Leonard beat up the Old Mayweather SR in his prime!

Sugar Ray Leonard vs Floyd Mayweather 09.09.1978 (4/4)

Against MAYWEATHER jr., Sugar Ray Leonard wins!

Leonard has that skill on how to fight bigger and taller opponent even fighting
talented Latinos like Duran! At one time, he did what can't be done by any boxer, that of somersaulting backwards!

Their primes weren't in the same weight class.

May as well match Duran against Baldomir well you're at it!

Extremely large gap in level of competition!

SRL by UD. He had better combos and was much more offensive minded. SRL was a naturally bigger man and fought much better competion than Floyd. I can't for the life of me see Floyd stopping Leonard, and it would be extremely hard for him to win a dec. because I don't think he could outwork Leonard.

Floyd Sr. did fight Sugar Ray in November 9, 1978 at the Civic Center, Providence, Rhode Island. He was TKOed by Leonard in the 10th round. He was knocked down twice in the 8th round. Look at the boxing record.

If by analysis of skills, I would say both are comparable. Both are fast and can defend well.

But if they actually fight, I would lean on a unanimous decision win by Leonard, because he will come heavier and be more aggressive, offensive and fast as against the smaller, equally fast and defensive Floyd.

But then again, if they were to fight today with Leonard and all his skills intact? I doubt a megafight of this magnitude would happen. You all know why.
