Sugar Ray Leonard VS Mayweather,pick one plz

SRL would beat Mayweather 12 rounds to 0. It would be the most one sided fight ever.

Ray was unable to do that against three fighters with very little speed in Ayub Kalule who was slow and won three rounds....LarryBonds who also won a couple of rounds...and actually Floyd sr won 4 rounds in that fight.

And Ray beats Floyd jr easier.

To be honest i think Floyd jr beats his DAD easier than Ray did and PUNKS him.....He would have also beat Ayub Kalule easier as well who was SLOW

I think fans overate older eras. Ray wasnt tested enough after 25 years old, so the assumption is because he beats Hearns, then that means he beats every young fighter after that. Barkley knocked Hearns out as well, and keep in mind Tommy was weight drained in 1981 at 144 pounds.

Show me prove of Ray against a quick fighter. The fighters that gave him just a little movement. He struggled. Bonds, Kalule, Hearns.

Had Bonds had Terry Norris offense he wins that fight easy. He was making Ray chase him and making him look average and missing.

Ray in the Bonds fight looked like Oscar against Floyd. Out of control chasing. Fortunate for him Bonds was not Floyd or a Terry Norris. Coming forward and chasing, he would have gotten countered.

Even the Kalule fight...Had Ray fought like this against Mayweather or a Norris he losses a decision. Kalule is much slower that both of those guys and he still won three out of 9 rounds against prime SRL and hit him often in that fight.

Another thing i would like to point out is that Floyd would duck Ray almost certainly but if the roles were reversed Ray wouldn't duck,he'd be itching for that fight to prove himself! BTW have you ever seen Ray skip rope lol even at his age now his reflexes are amazing!

I don't recall SRL ever fighting a fighter with great speed, defense and was very intelligent. Yea Hearns was a great offensive fighter, but what about defense, what about thinking in the ring?

I look at the fights with Larry Bonds and especially Ayub Kalule.

Ray got hit a lot by counterpunches in that Kalule fight and i had the fight 5-3 before Ray stopped him in round 9. Ray can be hit.

Floyd is just as good a defensive fighter as Benitez, but much better offensively.

Would be a close fight but I can't see Floyd winning this one. Leonard was faster, busier, hit harder and was pretty much as intelligent as Floyd in the ring but maybe not as disciplined. Watch him take apart Floyd Sr's shoulder roll defense at 01:22 :

SRL didnt start whaling on Hearns till what the 11th round. If it wasnt for that 15 rd b.s he woulda lost period. And Hearns wasnt even moving around. He stood in the middle and just did his thing. Jabbed and moved. Jab dodge. In the middle rounds he stopped throwing cause early on he seen his punches was missing and wasn't doing any damage. SRL didnt go in till it became clear his legs was dying. We talking about a fighter who causes others fighters to throw less cause of his counter puncher ability. Dont compare him to his father. His father wasn't as fast, as good as a counter puncher, nor as good as defense. His father was just all shoulder roll

I also like to say I dont think neither would win by a UD. Too much talent, too much determination, too much smarts to let someone just beat the **** outta them. Come on now

People here question May's heart due to the perception that he ducks fighters in can't be from what happens in the ring.....
