If Berto was willing to move down to 140 I got no problem. But calling them out and telling them to move to 147, that's a ***** move.

exactly, Marquez ain't no Welterweight. Do it at 140lbs, and that still may be a bit too much for JMM, who looks small for a Lightweight.

1.fighting Katsidis who was KO by Casamayor and beaten by Diaz...Both Casa and Diaz was beaten by Marquez and still Marquez fought the loser, one dimensional and bum Katsidis.
What did Marquez gained fighting Katsidis????NOTHING!!!!!!!!
2.fighting Diaz who has 5 loses on his last 6 fights(beaten and battered by Campbell, and toyed by Malignaggi).
3.next fight will be against faded and shot Morales at 135 instead of Soto. What will Marquez gain in fighting Morales(KO twice by Pacman) on his next fight to be worthy challenger against Pacman...

if Marquez is seriously wants to get a fight with Pacman he should move up in weight and should be in the mix fight with khan, devon, bradley, maidana, berto and even Mosley to be worthy challenger against Pacman...Those fighters are fighting each other to have a chance to fight Pacman while Marquez is feasting on bum, and faded fighters in lower weight to get a fight with Pacman...He even price himself out with unrealistic demand against Pacman.... This was the 2nd time he did this...The 1st rematch was Marquez price himself out by turning down 750K dollars fight with Pacman and choosing 30k dollars fight with Chris John in Indonesia...And now he has a unrealistic demand to price himself out of Pacman fight instead will fight Morales or any bums, loser and faded fighter at 135 for less than a million...Marquez wants more than what he received when he fought Floyd...Come on!!!!!His lost against Floyd was so dominant where he didn't win any round or never a threat for 12 complete round, even Floyd scored a knockdown,wants more against Pacman...Marquez didn't prove himself that he is worthy challenger at higher weight...He's a joke at higher weight...Even Malignaggi will KO him in first round.

yeah...Marquez doesn't stand a chance against the top fighters above 135.... he was easily hit and battered after the fight against a loser and one dimensional Katsidis at 135 who was KO by old Casamayor and beaten by bum diaz(5losses of his last 6fights)..Both Casa and Diaz lost to Marquez and Marquez still fought loser Katsidis...Marquez did not prove anything fighting Katsidis,,,

Marquez fought Katsidis because he was his mandatory and he had put the fight off for as long as he could. He was on the verge of being stripped of his alphabet title if he hadn't fought him. Everyone knows that JMM is there to be hit, that's nothing new. He always has been a toe to toe right in your face type of fighter. Therefore win or lose he always show wear at fights end. Pac looked worse than Clottey,he looked battered and relieved after the Margs fight and don't forget about the cauliflower ear he got via the Cotto fight. My point is that just because a guy gets hit alot in afight and is bruised and bloodied at fights end doesn't mean that he had a tough time with a guy. And before you dismiss Katsidis as a bumb, I was wondering did you know that both Juan Diaz and Casamayor had a tougher time with him tha JMM. Hell, he even knocked Casamayor's ass outta da ring.I think that Marquez proved alot in that fight with Katsidis. First of all it was a fight that he wasn't particularly interested in but still rose to the occasssion and got the W. 2nd he showed that he can go toe to toe with a younger fighter once again and still come out on top. lastly he showed that he still has the heart of a lion and still has the resiliency to pick himself up off the canvas and fight to the finish with the same grit,intensity and determination that he always has.

maybe JMM hasn't proven himself at a higher weight, but no one has proven themselves against Pac like he has. As far as the purse demands go, the fight would be a bigger draw because of who he is as an opponent. At this stage of his career he should be demanding big payday, especially against a fighter that he went toe to toe with twice in fights that came down to decisions that are still widely disputed to this day.
