Hopkins will not take so long to settle into the fight or to get his timing.
Pascal on the other hand will likely be more hesitant.
We'll see how Pascal looks after two fights against Hopkins

The sanctioning body will pretend they are shocked by the judging, and order an immediate rematch. Guess what? They are corrupt as **** and just want the money.
Hopkins is the one who should consider turning down a rematch. He should have retired years ago. Not because he can't beat guys like Pascal (he clearly can), but because he is going to be suffering pugilistic dementia in his old age. He promised his mother, when she was on her death bed, that he would quit. Going back on that promise was flat out ******. Nothing is worth the kind of brain damage he is risking. Let's face it, it's just plain ****** to continue boxing into your late 40s when you are already a financially set HOFer...
But if Hopkins foolishly wants to fight a couple of more times, why waste his time with Pascal? Everyone thinks he won anyway. I am sure Hopkins will demand much more money for the rematch. And he's not afraid to price himself out of a fight.

If you bend low at the waist... expect to get cracked in the back of the head, and the referee should ignore it...
If you turn your back on your opponent, expect to get cracked in the back of the head, and the referee should ignore it...
If you turn your head away from the punch, expect to get cracked in the back of the head, and the referee should ignore it...
It ruins the sport if you allow people to take advantage of the rabbit punch rule by making it impossible to hit them anywhere but the back of the head. I've never even seen anyone severely hurt by a rabbit punch, so I am not sure why people act like it is so god damn dangerous. Getting punched in the head is dangerous, PERIOD. I have seen people seriously hurt and killed by normal punches to the head. It's not like people are getting paralyzed. It's not like people are even suffering serious concussions, like you see every weekend with illegal (American) football hits. At this point it's like the rule is just there so babies can cry to the ref when they turn their back on the other fighter and inevitably get hit there.
Pascal's punch was to the head, probably a little bit to the back, but who gives a ****. To me you muddy the waters complaining about such KDs as being BS, when there are so many horrible KDs called where someone's feet were tangled up, they slipped on water, etc. That was a punch to the head that rattled Hopkins and took his legs out from under him. Was it partially to the back of the head? Who give a ****?

So is Ali.
He should retire. As the man stated, he has already done everything he can do in his career. There is no higher plateau. He is set financially. It's just plain foolish for him to continue, even if the fans enjoy seeing it.
