Manny wants Berto not Mosley?!?!

Pacquiao clearly would get more credit beating an undefeated fighter like Berto than he would of beating a fighter like Mosley at this current stage of Mosley's career.

So what? Speed and accuracy isn't always going to make for a better fight, especially against someone who has more of both. Mosley is the better fighter. Berto's chin is questionable, and he's also known to fight his opponent's fight. His only chance of even bothering Manny is by trying to bully him. And while that might give him some success, it'll also cause him to get stopped within 7.


Just picture these four situations. Berto vs Mora, Floyd, Cotto and Mosley. I'm almost positive that Mosley stops him and Mora easily decisions him. I could see Floyd stopping him late after making him run into the right hand for 11 rounds or winning a heavily lopsided decision that ruins him, and Cotto doing the same after breaking him down and battering him.

Both are fine,but I would like to see berto get his shot,and somehow don't want to see mostley take a beating and get retired but iam sure that fine with his plans.
Funny but speaking about Floyd, he is open to over the top bombs, like that clip you have of bradley throwing that home run football.
Hatten was very sucsessfull with odd timing and over the top left hand as Floyd hold his hands low.not Really sure why mosley didn't try that and his uppercut on Floyd,but he really slow down now that for sure as I been his fan.

There's two reasons why I think he'd pick Berto over Mosley:

1) He doesn't want another boring one sided fight.
2) Berto's got a nice belt with Manny's name all over it.

From ESPN convo board, can anyone in the Philippines confirm? Apparently they've been discussing on Filipino radio shows that the reason for the delay in the opponent selection is that Manny prefers Berto over Mosley but Bob doesn't want that fight. This goes against everything I've heard thus far, I thought Mosley was a shoe in.

Shane is on the way down, Berto is on the way up.

Berto is undefeated and a beltholder, young, fresh and fast. Good performances in his last fights.

Mosley last two fights were bad, very bad. Against Floyd he was just outclassed but against Mora..jeez, come on who wants to see him against Manny after that?

Berto is not proven at the very highest level, but how many more options are there? Berto is the best available option and it would be the single best fight out there for manny (except floyd) of ourse, so go for it!

However if things were my way, I'd say Pacquiao-Marquez III at 144 or 145 and Berto-Mosley, and then the winners fight eachother.
