    Manny is the man!

Don't know if its because he realizes the fans don't like the Pac/Mosley match-up or because he also feels like Mosley is past his best while Berto is clearly climbing the ladder and is much more deserving of a shot as of right now.

If Manny wants Berto than make it happen Bob. However, imo Berto hasnt done anything to deserve a fight with Pacquiao. Pac will make more money and have a HOFer on his resume if he fights Mosley. Berto is a nobody who cant even sell a thousand tickets to watch him fight. If Berto fought Mosley then Berto would get KTFO no question.

Even in his current state, I still think he's better than Berto. Just imagine if it was Berto in the ring with Mora last September. He would have gotten thoroughly outboxed. I even would have picked Floyd to stop him late if they fought in May. Berto has done nothing to prove that he can hang with an top WW, and Pac is steps above a top WW. At least with Mosley you have a guy bigger and stronger than Pac who has a lot of experience and is capable of knocking him out. He also has a good chin.

Berto would try to outmuscle the smaller Pac. It might work a little and the fight would probably be a war...for a few rounds before Pac breaks him down and stops him by the 7th round.

            well,marquez priced himself out.

            so its berto or mosley.

berto has not been beaten yet(although collazo could been given the decision)

mosley has lost and drawn his last 2 fights, looks past it,floyd took him apart and pac wont want to fight floyds scraps i dont think, its no reward if he wins, but big risk due to shanes power,ok speed, toughness and experience.

with berto, hes unproven, but is fresh, fast, has power -but isnt good defensively and isnt experienced.

niether berto or mosley are ideal.but pac is literally running out of legit weltwerweights to fight.

he wont ever go and fight a way bigger guy like margairto again,so no williams or martinez fights.

arum can f off though,if he allows pac to fight clottey and tht makes good money then berto fight sales wise should be fine.

really marquez should have accepted what ever money which was fair.

negotiated for him to come in at 144,145,and same for pac,so the weight making isnt a problem and the fight would be more even in tht sense.

ide rather pac shut up exposed berto, than retired mosley.
            ide want mosley to fight-cotto 2,williams,maybe cintron,martinez 154.
then try go and win and retire on a winning streak.

ide be happy if mosley went to middleweight and beat up some paper champ for one of the belts.

              link?

And I figured there was conflict in the camp because Arum was sure he'd have an official announcement by Friday, probably assumed Manny would agree w/ Mosley with no problems. Then Koncz comes out saying Pac is in no rush to pick, that just tells me not everyone is on the same page. I assumed it was Marquez vs Mosley though. Berto was always the wild card... but if Manny chooses Berto, I would love to see all the backtracking and new excuses that haters can concoct

Why doesn't Arum just reward Shane's defection with a Cotto rematch or someone else at 154?
