Victor Ortiz never should have been ranked anywhere near the top ten. Especially after that gift draw he got against Lamont Peterson.

He's obviously waiting for the outcome of Alexander-Bradley before moving Khan up. I'm sure he's going to be writing stories about the Alexander-Bradley fight being between the 2 top guys of the 140lb division(and rightfully so) and wants his rankings to reflect that.

Aside from the top 4 though and that little discrepancy , the rankings are awful but I understand why he's put certain fighters there.

Malignaggi and Kotelnik have both expressed their inability to make 140lb anymore but Rafael is waiting for them to actually fight at 147 before taking them off the rankings.
Urango hasn't fought in ages and IMO his stock has fallen to #10 or further down the list due to his inactivity and his last perfomance being a KO loss.
Judah is obviously as high as he is on Rafael's ranking due to his past resume, but at this point I don't think he's a top 5 140lb'er and his razor thin win against Matthysse solidified that fact.

2010 was a great year for the 140lb division and helped organize the pecking order quite a bit, but in 2011 I think we'll actually cement who is the best in the division.

I never said he was garbage, just that he wasn't the second best in the division

But maybe putting exclamation marks after everything i say gives my argument more weight

        ... I kid i kid :P
That's kool, that he was stopped by a smaller man,in his toughest fight!! Maidana & Malignaggi is not better than koing Witter & Urango though, true story!!Besides it's not like he dominated Maidana anyway!!He is the second best in the division!!

Dan Rafael's list is a JOKE! Devon's resume is way weaker than Khan's.

          1) Khan

Best resume with wins over Kotelnik, Malignaggi and Maidana.

          2) Bradley

Excellent resume with wins over Peterson, Vazquez, Holt and Witter (past-prime but in Witter's back-yard)

          3) Kotelnik

Wins over Rees, Maidana, AND Alexander. Draw with M'baye. Comprehensive loss to Khan.

          4) Alexander

Solid resume with wins over Witter (past-prime), Urango, Corley.

          5) Maidana

Wins over Ortiz, Cayo (then undefeated). Close fights with Kotelnik and Khan.

Well Alexander wasn't dominating Urango either before the KO...

And, Maidan-Urango comparison just about even, Malignaggi and Witter is about even.

Where Khan gets the nod over Alexander is the Kotelnik fight. Alexander didn't win, Khan won damn near 10 rounds. Then to also think Kotelnik has a win over Maidana that you can make a case that Kotelnik should be rank higher than Alexander also. But, I don't mind Alexander at #3. Khan is for sure #2. No way does he have a better resume than Bradley.

And, what happens in other weight-class doesn't reflect on a 140 rankings.

And, Dan Rafael rankings does suck. Especially when you look at his lower weight rankings...The man is just a F'ing lazy to really do any rankings.

How come you don't mention that Malignaggi was past prime too...

Yes Rafael rankings are joke but anybody who ranks Khan over Bradley at 140 are not much better either. Hell even Wazaa ranks Bradley #1.

Rafael having poor rankings shouldn't be surprising.

Have you seen is bantamweight rankings? Or several of his rankings for the lower weight classes? He cannot even put a top ten together.

And at Zab Judah. Just . Fat Dan is kind of a joke, isn't he?
The list is fair, is not like we have seen Alexander or Bradley dancing Khan's rubberlegs macarena.
