Joe Cortez is the most biased referee in the sport! Fair but firm my a$$. And him getting inducted to the boxing hall of fame is a slap in the face to boxing fans everywhere. He and Laurence Cole are two of the worst referees ever. They way Joe Cortez favored fellow Puerto Rican John Ruiz when he fought Holyfield was disgraceful, calling belt line shots low blows and never warning Ruiz once for his clutch and grab tactics. I don't know if Cortez saved Khan from getting knocked out but he sure didn't help him in any way....

Maidana fought dirty? are you seriously dont care who u support dont you? Haye, Khan.. . Khan was constantly turning his back to Maidana during sharp moments and jumping on him like Wlad does. But Wlad tires his opponents out, unlike Khan.. omg i might be hit... trust me.. sooner or later your England champs would get Knocked the **** out.

I'm officially Maidana's fan now. He showed willingness to win, never gave up. was going for Khan until the last second. The referee should of take point from Khan from all that holding.

I hope there will be a rematch, so Maidana ccan KO this kid, or he should fight Ortiz. there is no way this ***** will stay a champ for more than 2-3 fights. as long as he fights some1 decent, who can punch and who has willingness to Win.

They won't milk him for long time. Yes Khan is good fighter, but for a boxer, he simply lacks of balls. Jsut like ***** Dimitrenko, from my country.

On other hand David hoprfully going to fight 1 of the Klit brothers. Lights off for him. the only boxer that I respect from U.K is Carl Froch. rest are trash talkers

When you have one hand free, you are not supposed to break up the fighters. Cortez jumped in way too soon and stopped the action in the 10th round over and over again.... Cortez is trash! And I am not crying, I just know how a ref is supposed to referee a fight, unlike Cortez....
