I come to this conclusion because for one thing, while both guys landed close to the same amount of punches according to compubox probably, it was Maidana who would land a bunch of unanswered punches. I saw instances in the fight that would resemble Margarito-Cotto of where Maidana would land like four or five uppercuts in a row sandwiched in between body punches and Khan had no answer for it. Later on in the fight Khan's punches had no impact on Maidana at all, and I scored both the tenth and twelfth rounds 10-8 in Maidana's favor. A lot of people probably wouldn't agree with me where the twelfth round is concerned. But anybody who doesn't score the 10th round 10-8 for Maidana is a fool. And that right there somewhat negates the advantages for Khan that occured earlier in the fight like the knockdown and the point deduction.
Khan got battered by a tough, but crude slugger and escaped with a controversial win. And he really doesn't deserve a lot of praise in my view because he's gonna go after sorry ass Zab Judah now. He's a British hype job.
