Khan gets nothing from me

Agree with this poster 100% F Joe Cortez I think it should of been a draw , Khan wasn't doing too much damage with his flurry punches , Maidana kept coming forward and was doing serious damage to Khans body and face , it doesn't make me believe Khan is ready to take on heavy opposition , I think even though he won its just a matter of time before he gets Koed, The blueprint on how to beat him is there, pressure pressure pressure, His Chin is not all there either I saw him do the chicken dance I don;t remember in what round but he caught him with a good shot, Cortez saved this fight for Khan and you all know it, What is the point of being so called "great" if your chin isnt there

If Khan's chin wasn't 'there', then why didn't he get KTFO in the 10th. He took enough bombs in that round alone to prove that his chin is 'there'.

No doubt in my mind, there will be a rematch sometime, it's a big money fight.

Khan can take those shots, but IMO he is going to improve as he goes along. Already he showed he wasn't as stiff VS Paulie or Kotelnik. He put more snap into his right hand at times too, but his defense has either not improved or Maidana's pressure got to him.

Maidana has not improved at all, he's the same man who takes a great punch to land some. I can't see him dealing with Khan in the future.

As for he wanted the fight, he always said he wants it, but the money has to be right.

Bro, I know Khan as much as many fans, and he always had ambition and hunger, but that doesn't mean he is going to jump in it if he aint getting paid, that's maybe his downfall, but so be it.

cortez was selected for a reason. golden boy knows the way he refs and they wanted someone that didn't allow inside fighting so they chose him because he gave khan the best chance at victory. separation=good close=bad it was a smart choice but cortez should really learn the rules of reffing before he gets inducted into the hall of fame.

But Cortez does allow inside fighting when it suits him, he let B-Hop hang on to Calzaghe all night, and when he was comfortable Hatton was woozy he let Mayweather fight on the inside.

He's corrupt, out and out corrupt and take nothing away from Khan but last night's reffing was a disgrace.

The ref and Khan's holding and running won it for him. It would have only been the FOTY if Maidana sparked him out. If Maidana had just a tad bit more left in the tank, he would have stopped Khan in the 10th, Khan got lucky. It'll be another 5 years before we see Khan in there with a top class puncher, it's back to fighters with low KO percentages. I don't think highly of Ortiz or like him, but he KO's Khan.

how do you figure that out when khan is a world champion and beat maidana and ortiz lost to maidana and has a handfull of poor performances?
