Notice how every time Khan went for the clinch, Maidana went wild with the rabbit punches? He must have winged punches into the back of Khan's head atleast several times. I've watched that 10th round again, and don't really see what people are complaining about.

Maidana started fighting dirty in the 10th when he was desperate and hungry for the knockout. I don't think people could complian if the fight was stopped, but there was nothing wrong with Cortez breaking them up when Khan initiated the clinch, and Maidana started hitting him on the backof the head.

I like how Khan weathered the storm. He was seriously hurt but was able to survive the round despite taking some more shots. He's certainly not as fragile as many thought he was.

Khan needs to work however or many things. His technical skills are still unrefined and he's getting by too much on physical gifts rather than skills. And not in a Roy Jones/Muhammad Ali type of way where he gets away with the bad things. He was paying for it by getting hit with hard shots.

I laugh when I read people claim that. When Cortez let them fight on the inside, Hatton was eating most of the clean shots. Mayweather was killing Hatton with his free hand and digging that right hand to the body throughout the fight.

Khan does not have great ring craft or good footwork. Footwork is much more about foot placement, not merely having fast feet.

If he had good footwork, he wouldn't have had the ring cut off on him like that against a guy like Maidana, would not have repeatedly have gone back in a straight line, and he would actually have an inside game and good defense if he had great ring craft. His defense is his legs, he doesn't move his head well nor does he parry shots effectively. Nor is he an Ali/Hamed type guy where he does things unorthodox (or just plain technically wrong) on defense and still manages to make opponents miss wildly.
