Serious Question for REAL/HONEST boxing fans about Manny Pacquiao?!

How can Manny go from being rocked by smaller guys MORE THAN ONCE to not being bothered by massively bigger more powerful punchers-boxers? He's developed a helluva punch since moving up in weight. It's possible that it's just his body maturing, but it would have to be truly remarkable genetics to not only account for his firepower but also his suddenly amped ability to take punches from bigger fighters.

Manny in his 30's as a welterweight is faster than he was in his 20's as a lightweight. Normally, as you get older and gain weight, you get slower. Floyd in his 30's as a welterweight is slower than he was in his 20's as a lightweight. This makes sense. Mannys situation does not make sense.

Also increased stamina as evidenced by increasing punch output. Hard to increase punch output when you go from 130 to 147 in TWO years. Especially when you consider 50+ fights and ring wars at the lower weights. He looked so bad in the Larios fight (pretty sure it was the one) the commentary team was questioning whether his career was over.

Then Ariza arrrived and the same commentary team were stunned at his turnaround in his fight with Diaz.

Manny will be 32 years old this month, he fought Morales in 2005 which would have made him 27 years old. He appears to be a faster and more powerful fighter since he has become older and moved up in weight. Did Manny just hit his prime late and develop into a great fighter?

Freddie Roach knows about PEDs. Don't take my word for it, ask James Toney.

Come on man, get off this kick. He is not on steroids. I do believe his quality of opposition is meek, and that is a big reason for his massive successes, but he is not on steroids. There is no proof of this, and that accusation is getting old and you can't be serious when you say "Questions for serious fans" then you basically put an underlying message in your question where you are automatically point to him being on steroids.

Get real man, he's a great fighter, that's all.

When did they start producing a steroid for your chin? I must have missed that one.

he would constantly rehydrate back in the 140s during his fights at the lower weights.

i would say he was struggling to make weight and that his conditioning is much better now.

look at Miguel Cotto who was a bit chinny at 140s and was actually put to ***** street several times,

he then he moves up to 147 and takes one bomb after another from Mosley.

Manny Pacquiao's recent success has nothing to do with steroids,

but a carefully picked batch of opponents.

doesn't mean he's garbage, not everyone would be able to move up that many weight classes and beat the people Manny just did.

but people are rather overrating his latest achievements a tad bit.

          just my honest opinion.

I find these statements a little contradicting.

What do you mean not bothered by bigger punchers? Cotto busted his ear, clottey, who barely threw punches, messed up his face and for the margarito fight, pac had to be brought to the hospital, cancelled all his other engagements and COULDN'T EVEN SIGN AUTOGRAPHS. Even punching margarito IN THE FACE hurt Pac.

Definitely Pac is bothered by the bigger punchers.

As for the speed, he only APPEARS faster only because he's fighting bigger, slower men who aren't accustomed to fighting smaller, faster fighters.

He didn't get faster, his opponents got slower.

Experience, dedication to the sport and honest hard work tend to make a good fighter great. Not just steroids.

How so? He is a great fighter, as we saw in the mid 2000's vs Morales and Barrera (albeit they were starting their slide), Manny put on some of the greatest fights in history.

Just because a guy fights people who aren't any good, doesn't mean he himself can't be great. Manny is a great fighter, but sorry, Cotto, Margs and Clottey are not. The last 2 I would label as "shot."
