this is boxing..not track and field....name me any athlete from any major sport that was much faster in their 30's than in their 20's. Michael Jordan was very fast and agile in his 20's, inhis 30's not so much. Landanian Tomlinson much faster in his 20's than in his 30's. Ricky Henderson much faster in his 20's than in his 30's. Ali much faster in his 20's than in his 30's.

    Think before YOU post...bruh

      Exactly.

IMO it is his technique and right hand that has improved. He moves quite differently than when he fought JMM and Barrera the 1st time.

He is definitely physically stronger, and when he gets hit with big shots, he is usually covering up, and braising himself for the punch. He was stunned by JMM with a punch he didnt see.

He is fighting bigger men that are easier to hit, and able to out manoeuvre better than smaller faster opponents. He can load up with bigger power shots against these bigger fighters.

      And that explains everything! :blow:

What about Sergio right now? He is far better than he was 5 or 10 years ago and he is 35. Why isn't his recent knockout power more questioned by everyone?

Different people peak at different times and especially now with the improvements in diet and fitness overal. And in boxing they're not getting pounded 5 or 6 times a year, more like twice. That means people can be in their prime much longer.

That's an insane comparison. Martinez had his pro debut when he was what, 22? At that age, Pacquiao had already been KO'ed twice.

Jordan led the Bulls in victories after another when he was 37. Sugar Ray Leonard beat Hagler in his 30s. There are more if you're only looking.....
Huh? Jabbar won his last regular season MVP at age 33. He was the best player of the 1970s, most of which came in his 20s (he was born in 1947). In his last 2 seasons, in his 40s, he was putting up just 14 and 6 and then 10 and 4 a game. In fact, he struggled so poorly in his last season, Sports Illustrated put him on the cover saying "Kareem's Last Stand", bashed his off-season preparation, which they say caused his poor play during his final year. He was at his best when he was with the Bucks, he was dominant as hell.

Jordan was at his best in his first 3-peat (from age 28-30), or probably even before that. When watching the Jordan in the two seasons before his first titles, he didn't necessarily improve when he started winning titles, it was the team that improved. He was already the best in the game before the Bulls were the best team.

He stopped playing for the Bulls at age 35.
