Oh, hell. No way does KT have a win like that.

and it's pretty hard to aggregate wins for JT that equals Zab+Shane+Clottey.

        2) zab's best weight is and has always been 140. He was a pretty heavy favorite vs Zoo and zoo blasted his ass out. If you were a boxing fan during zoos era, you would never ever say zoo's only big win was vs zoo. Look at sharmba when zoo beat him. Sharmba was considered a damn good fighter. Look at mag and where he was in his career. Shane AND Oscar skipped 140 all the way, floyd bounced over 140 without fighting any real contenders that weren't long lost leftovers of zoo. By the time hatton fought zoo, he was done cuz of the layoff and injuries. Zoo has a waaaaay better resume than mike Tyson-all day.

Gina has proven over and over that she don't know shi t.

Zoo ruled 140 for years. Zoo fought many different stlyes of real contenders, not consistently hand picked opponents. Zoo was mashing out real fighter before his 20th fight. I would be happy to have a discussion with anyone regarding his credentials.

i remember Tyson walking Sharmba into the ring...only to see Kostya rip him apart...i believe that was on Showtime...the good ole days

Right............140 wasn't the best division in boxig at the time, but it was very solid. You had speedy lefties galore WITH POP, you had tough european stylists, Mexican/Latin ****ers, old warriors, and up and coming beasts.

I'm always going to hold it against calz that guys like roy, bhop, toney, tarv, etc, etc all fought within and around his division, yet he managed to fight none of them in their prime-ish years.

              I disagree with that.

One win should not hold more than an entire good resume. Especially a win over a past prime fighter that was not a clear cut victory either.

I put him at the miguel cotto level. I think Cotto is very good.

You guys are acting like I said Tszyu was hot steaming garbage. NO. I merely have him shy of the IBHOF.
I dunno how you can knock cotto. he had a solid-good run at 140 lbs. he fought mosley, marg, clotty, and pac and every one of them were exciting fights if not good competitive fights. yeah, he didn't win them all, but that's better than fighting bums and being undefeated.

You had guys who were smaller than Zoo go to 147 where there were tons of fights. But he was never enthused about that.

If he had fought even ONE of the top guys, i would prolly be viewing him differently.

Id Wiley Hyena were still on here, his head would explode.

I will say this, if you think Winky, Hatton, Gatti, Castillo belong in the HOF. Then Kostya clearly belongs.

i do too, people who look on boxrec or only follow the "name" fighters forget a lot of things. zoo was an absolute beast.

forget all these people talking about cotto's wins and blah blah. cotto is probably headed for the HOF too. but what was shane when he fought cotto- a badass for sure, but he wasn't what he was when he fought dela or when he bombed everyone out at lw. he wasn't what he was when he first went to ww. how many wars had shane alreay been through???????????

people need to stop the nonsense. when zoo fought zab, it was zab's coming out party and EVERYONE was watching. zab was a murdera at the time. damn that was a shocking night. very few top fighters today have a win like that- when they were a big underdog to a guy that was considered a much better fighter and they bombed them out like that and made the cat do the chicken dance. ***n rookies on here.
