whoa? where did i knock Cotto? i just said Cotto is very good.

Would you consider cotto a "great" fighter? I think Floyd, Pac and MAB are Great fighters. i don't think Miguel is at that level. Or ever was.

But, we're talking about HOF here, and Cotto should not get credit for losing to Marg and Pac. Yes he fought them and that is great but fact is that he lost and should not get credit for it.

Now giving him credit for Shane and Clottey? Sure without a doubt.

But, I wouldn't vote Cotto in the HOF, especially since there are guys like Donald Curry who are not in.

          Curry>Cotto.

Judah wasn't his best win, it was probably the most memorable thanks to Judah's "performance".

I agree Shane was past prime and it was not a clear victory, but, if you go up and down Tszyu's resume to try to match some one as good as that Mosley at the time Cotto fought him, you probably can't any one better. Name-wise, I would say Chavez is a better name than any one on Cotto's resume but that wouldn't be fair. It's like let's just call DLH a top 50 ATG since he has 2 wins over a younger, fresher 32+ year old Chavez. But I understand what you mean.

bottomline, tszyu and cotto get in the HOF... maybe not first ballot, but the get in. if tszyu got in first ballot, it's not a big deal. depends on who else was on the list.

Almost every guy in the HoF either has...

                  1) Win or WinS against other prime HoF guys (Pacquiao)
                  2) A period of unquestioned dominance at his weight class (Hopkins)
                  3) Highly competitive bouts with other HoF-level guys (Oscar, Shane)

In my humble opinion, I don't know that Kostya Tszyu meets any of those criteria for me.

Plus, there are too many guys on the current docket that I consider to have been better than Zoo during Zoo's era (Barrera, Hopkins, Winky, Morales, Pacquiao, Mayweather, Mosley, Holyfield, Lewis,Jones, Delahoya, Toney, etc, etc) .

I did not feel that Zoo should have been ranked #3 p4p when Hatton beat him...and I don't think that he should be in the HoF.

Heck, I think Jose Luis Castillo was a better all around fighter.

...but I will still show up in June.
                  Please re-read the original post.

Nobody is slamming Zoo. Nobody called him garbage. Stop being so emotional.

It is a boxing opinion that perhaps you disagree with.

Just like I may have Pernell Whitaker as a top 10 boxer, and you may disagree.

Maybe cuz I also hold into account is that when he beat the fighters, they were top rated fighters in his division. And, not only did he beat but he destroyed, straight dominated them.

After every win, there was no BS, there was no doubts if he really won. He made it clear that he did.
