Props to Cotto for always wanting to fight the best out there. He's been off for a while now, maybe he's taking this time to acclimate to the 154 frame? Cotto will defnitely be the underdog for this fight, but the reward in this fight is immense. Cotto is the better fundamental boxer, but Martinez possesses a lot of attributes that Cotto has trouble with. Speed, power, quick feet and an awkward defense is what Cotto will have to overcome in this match.

I wouldn't count Cotto out of this one. We have yet to see if Sergio can take a good body shot, and we all know Cotto can **** you pretty good to the body. This is one I would love to see on HBO, but not on PPV....

With the best case with him winning of course.

I wouldn't be surprised people will favor him more than Pac if he manages to win against Marz

Great men always know how to pick their battles. I guess your saying Miguel is great for this suicide mission but Manny is a coward for running away from it. Any true fan would not wanna see Miguel get hurt and Sergio would slaughter Miguel. Miguel has nothing to prove and would have a better chance at beating Manny than he would against Sergio.

I can't believe that most of you think Cotto has any chance against the guy that just smashed Pavlik and PWillz. Sergio would destroy Cotto within 4/5 rounds. It wouldn't even be a contest. As much as I love Cotto this fight would be disastrous for him. When that punch that hit PWillz touches Cotto he is going to sleep and it will touch him because he loves to engage. This fight would not last long at all. Brutal KO.

SERGIO MARTINEZ took the best shots from CINTRON,WILLIAMS and PAVLIK;he also had the power to stop CINTRON(round 7 we all know) and PW in two........!!!
RIGHT NOW I DON'T SEE NO ONE THAT CAN GIVE HIM PROBLEMS IN A FIGHT AS MIDDLEWEIGHT OR SUPERWELTER(ANGULO IS STILL RUNNING)!!!
VERNON FORREST was a smart man,now we understand why he didn't give to SERGIO a fight at the end of his carrer(anyway R.I.P. GREAT CHAMP)!!!

Most of us understand your point, and know that this is going to be a tough fight for Cotto. With that said, we still want to see this fight go through. I see a Sergio win, but this puts Cotto on the table for bigger fights in the future. If he looses then he can go ahead and rematch Marg then retire.
