I see a Sergio win, but this puts Cotto on the table for bigger fights in the future. If he looses then he can go ahead and rematch Marg then retire.

Dude this fight doesn't put Cotto on the table it puts him on a stretcher. He looked shaky against Foreman and Foreman isn't a puncher. This would be nothing but a pay day and a sad ending because Cotto would be through after his 3rd vicious KO loss.

      SERG by KO in 11.
I dont know if it will that easy for all you Martinez fans out there who think he murks cotto without problems.

We seen Martinez have trouble with Cintron who now implements a slicker style of fighting to his regime versus ****ing and winning by big punches. Steward has trained both men and has come out to sayt Cotto is a better faster and stronger boxer puncher than most of his past fighters he has trained. Cotto wont stick in there and take punishment like Paul Williams, he will tactically find his way in there and technically try to break Martinez down.

When Cintron did so, We saw martinez slow down his pace. I feel Cotto has a shot to beat Martinez at 155 since the playing field in power and size will be leveled.

Martinez has some serious guts to give Cotto an advantage like that and go in there with one of the most intelligent fighters in the game. Props to Martinez.

Lets see this fight happen. I think its a 50/50 fight if Cotto isnt too ****** up from Margs and Pac and his shoulder heals properly

Manny Steward won't even let Cotto fight Cintron. I wouldn't trust him if I were Cotto. A great manager wouldn't let Cotto any where near Sergio at this point in his career. Cotto could beat Chavez Jr., Margarito (which is not a guaranteed) and then rematch the Manny/Mosley winner. That would be a very intelligent route for Miguel but if he goes after Martinez his career would end on a vicious note.

First, Cotto never got KO'd per say. Second, if Cotto wants to fight Sergio then what can we do but just stand by and let the man handle his business. I mean he's a grown @ss man! If it is going to be his last fight then let him go out like a warrior. If he can get passed him then...here we go Pac or May.

First of all a TKO and a KO is the same thing on a record. Furthermore it's better to get KO'd than TKO'd cause Cotto's 2 KO losses were serious beatdowns. Why don't people feel the same way about Manny fighting Martinez?

Cotto needs to stay away from left handed fighters.
Styles make fights and I think Cotto would do extremely well against Mayweather.

Don't forget Cotto is a natural southpaw

Cotto will defnitely be the underdog for this fight, but the reward in this fight is immense. Cotto is the better fundamental boxer, but Martinez possesses a lot of attributes that Cotto has trouble with. Speed, power, quick feet and an awkward defense is what Cotto will have to overcome in this match.
I agree. I wish Cotto could pull of a victory against Serg but I just don't see it. I was hoping that Cotto would shake off what ever he was going through before before the Pac fight. But Pac tore his ass up.

He looked good, but not great, in the Foreman fight. And who's Yuri Foreman? But I would pay to see Cotto try to get back to some sort of prominence.

Notice there's a reason why Cotto stays far away from even mentioning Floyd's name. Floyd would stop Cotto at this stage of the game.

I don't care about how it looks on his record. He never got KO'd period. As for which is better, TKO or KO, I won't get into that since both can cause serious damage to the fighter. I for one would love to see Sergio vs Pac, but I guess it's cause they see other fighters as better options since the risk of fighting Martinez is too high. Plus, everyone still wants to see May vs Pac, and Pac loosing would hinder the chances of that fight from ever happening.
