This is a win-win situation for Cotto. IF he beats Martinez he will be the first Puerto Rican to win titles in 4 different weight divisions and be probably top three p4p and maybe that would set him to a mega match with Floyd or a rematch with Pac at 154-155. If he loses, he loses to one of the best fighters out there.

I trully believe that if he follows a good fight plan he can outbox Sergio.

I just want to add that Sergio deserves the payday that a fight with Cotto brings.

I want to see this fight so bad. I hope it get's made. Besides fights with Pac/Mayweather this is Martinez best option, then Pirog.

Cotto should fight Martinez next. Sounds like they will most
likely avoid Sergio too because Arum doesn't like to lose to
other promoters fighters/boxers. IF and that's a big IF
the fight happens, I pick Sergio Martinez by KO over Cotto.

A 155 Cotto beats Pac IMO.

I'm not even sure I like a Margarito fight anymore unless Cotto loses again.

I say Berto, Martinez or bust. The Martinez fight does allow him to hold on to the belt and fight other big fights, unless he just gets destroyed I guess.

cotto is one fighter who nobody will not like. high respect to him and wish him more championship.

we are lucky to have been living in an era of great welterweights like pacquiao, mayweather and cotto.. reminiscent of leonard, hagler, hearns and duran it's like 80's all over again.
