Let's say he beats Floyd and Shane...is there really any point in fightin any of the other 140 and 147lbers? Maybe bradley...but that's it.

Martinez is in the same boat as the Bute fight is out as well as him campaigning at 168 (he is too small as mentioned by himself and Dibella). After Pirog....what's really left for him? I see a Cotto fight and maybe Angulo...but he wont have a lot of big name/big money fights available.

I think by process of elimination, both will eventually meet...but that's just my opinion.
Yeah but the thing is that Pacquiao is not build for that weight. There's a reason for weight classes, No way are they going to allow or want Martinez at anything higher than 150 and Martinez has not made that weight in almost ten years. I'm telling you the fight is pointless.

Making Martinez come down to 154-156 "in a year or so" is draining him. I think most people have had enough of those BS type of fights. If the fighter is too big, don't fight him. Simple as that. Making him come in less than his best to "even things up" is BS and not what "the best fighting the best" is supposed to be.

Here we go again- Sergio Martinez is the middleweight champion of the world. The man was 176 pounds 30 days out from his fight. That should tell you that he is an athletic 185-190lb man. Martinez is two divisions up from where Manny is now. The guy i is so big and strong he is seriously considering fighting Lucian Bute who could be the best fighter at 168 and 175. Is this what boxing really has come to? I don’t remember anybody ever stating that Marvin Hagler NEEDED to challenge himself and fight Michael Spinks. Or Ray Robinson HAD to fight Ezzard Charles. Man you guys just go overboard sometimes. Floyd never got flack for not fighting Arthur Abraham or Kelly Pavlik. Even Martinez dismissed Manny and said he was too small. In no way am I suggesting its impossible for Manny to win. But no fighter should be held to a standard where they are forced to fight a fighter two divisions higher especially when they have already moved up 10 divisions! I don’t know where you guys get this stuff from.

Martinez can make 154. Him coming in at 156 isn't draining him at all.

FWIW I'm not bother by catchweights as they have made some of the best fights in the history of the sport possible. Let me guess you want Manny to face him at 160?

156 gives Martinez all the advantages, and after seeing a few of your post, it's seems your nothing but a Pac hater.

Martinez said he 156 is the lowest he can go right now. Try to keep up. I don't want to see Manny fight Martinez at all. He's too big which is why idiots like you keep coming up with ways to handicap Martinez. And after reading your post I can see you're one step away from being Pacquaio's fluffer and a terrible poster.

No, he isn't. Do you people want to see Pac killed?

Sergio kept it real talking about the difference in size. Sure he has an awkward style, and Pac will land, but what happens when MW Sergio lands? Look at Pac's last two rounds against Marg, he was exhausted, watch closely. The problem is he keeps his output up, but he was nearly spent. You could notice it in the interview.

What happens when Sergio lands 2-3 flush bombs, you know he will land them he's a much more accurate puncher than Margarito...

Okay so lets say that's true. Are you saying Manny is draining Martinez by facing him at 156 in a year from now?

FWIW he said that after the fight, but the next day he said he would go to 154 for a fight with Manny or Floyd. That's why I stated he can make 154....because I heard it straight from the horses mouth.

and I saw your edited post. How I'm I trying to handicap Martinez when I said I would like to see it at 154-156. You make no sense at all.

Dammit, stop thinking about catch weights already!

FU MANNY PACQUIAO! YOU MADE WEIGHT CLASSES IRRELEVANT!

Sergio is the MW king. He should fight Dzinziruk (sp?), Pirog, Sturm, unifyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Martinez says he doesn't want to fight him. Case closed surely?
