I think this match is pointless. One is too small and the other one too big. I don't think there's a mid point that both would consider fair. I doubt Martinez even cares for a fight with Pacquiao. How's Martinez even going to make 150? It's ****** to ask him to drop so much weight.

yeah everyone knows that. its only 20 lbs difference between their weights. its like JuanMa Lopez fighting Amir Khan while outweighing him by 20 lbs.

Funny thing is this........Manny will eventually face Martinez if both are around in a year or so. It's gonna get to a point in which Manny will have no real challenges left....making Martinez at 154-156 the only legit threat.

Let's say he beats Floyd and Shane...is there really any point in fightin any of the other 140 and 147lbers? Maybe bradley...but that's it.

Martinez is in the same boat as the Bute fight is out as well as him campaigning at 168 (he is too small as mentioned by himself and Dibella). After Pirog....what's really left for him? I see a Cotto fight and maybe Angulo...but he wont have a lot of big name/big money fights available.


I think by process of elimination, both will eventually meet...but that's just my opinion.

No he isn't. You can't duck a fighter outside of your division. That applies to Mayweather as well although some people strangely seem to think he's ducking a fighter two divisions out of his weight class.
