Pac has somwhat of that kind in the lower division in his era. P4P fighters who where just as popular based on era and was also in the close divisions at pac. That was.... Marquez, Barrera, Morales. P4P fighters that pac had epic wars with and won must of the round robbin.

If you know what people said about pac, after beating this 3. That his legacy was already impressive at that point. Coz he fought the 3 mexican greats in his lifetime.. Add the other fighters going up in weight pac fought. He became the superstar that he is today.

Fine Duran, HAgel Sugar were defintely great. Love watching them in the 80's when boxing was bigger. But during that time the talents where there in the middleweight. In pac's time.. It was the 3 mexicans in the lower weights. Same ****, different era, not as popular as the Durans and Haglers coz of there size and decade. Boxing was big then.

    But nowadays..

To quote, Larry Merchant to be big in boxing you have to reach welterweight at least. The 3 mexicans where great fighters but they small and have a small fan base compered to heavy weights and middle weights which americans love to watch. But if you ask me.

If morales was as big as Hagler. He could have taxed his ass. If Barrera was as big as Sugar it could have been epic. My point is pac had the same three horsemen. He was a fighter who fought a lot of p4p's in his time. That's what's great about pac. He has done it all. And his story keeps on coming.

So you're saying that the only reason Duran, Hearns, and Hagler are considered greater than Marquez, MAB, and Morales is because they were in a more popular weight class at a more popular time?

He beat Margarito!!! The dude with 6 losses. The dude who got destroyed by Mosley, who was destroyed by Mayweather.
I love weed too but Marg had a massive size advantage, and i dont believe anyone could come up through the weights as pac has, and done what he did against Marg.

You caught the tale end of this discussion as I'm heading off to school

but if we went list for list as far as wars...both Margarito and Tony's would look comparable.

          Singurat
          Hussein
          Morales I and II
Cotto (Manny did marked up in that fight regardless of the outcome)
          Sanchez

          Margarito
          Cotto
          Mosley
          Williams
          and a few others

(FWIW I'm not counting the wars in which it was lopsided in Tony's favor) I'm looking at the fight in which Tony took damage. I don't feel Cintron did enough of anything to hurt Margarito...and neither did guys like Johnson, Martinez and others. Those were fights in which Tony just imposed his while, broked those guys down....while suffering little to no damage.

BTW...when I get back I can make an official list comparing the two....but again I'm just going off the top of my head and quickly threw some names. Earner why don't you list the fights in which Tony took significant damage and I will be sure to look at it later.

I mean he won every round and knocked the dude down.....all while show boating. Even if he looked .....it was nothing compared to his performance against Santos. If anything that just confirms Tony doesn't belong at 154.....well maybe he can get away with it now considering how terrible that division is.

Again.....before I bounce can someone please explain to me what part of Tony's game was different than his fight with Williams or anyone in his prime.

His chin looked better than ever

                  He didn't look any slower

His power was defiantley there as I seen him hurt Manny atleast twice

he went in there with a solid game plan etc....and threw his trade mark punches.

I'm sorry but I didn't see any drop in the Tony I'm use to seeing. This was Tony...minus the buzz (which really means **** as what's gonna happen in the ring is gonna happen regardless if the fighter is on cloud nine or coming off a loss).
