Let it go, no point in arguing with someone stuck in 3 months ago. Everyone had a good laugh at Ellerbe's expense once Greenburg personally set the record straight. HBO has absolutely nothing to gain by lying and alienating their top PPV producer, basic logic and common sense dictates this. Floyd didn't want to fight and when he was cornered and out of excuses he got his towel boy to try to weasel out of the fight by contradicting what Arum, HBO, and Golden Boy had been saying (or not because of the gag order) all summer. It blew up in their face and then after that all we heard was 'vacation' 'year or two off' 'not thinking about boxing' etc.

If this guy wants to believe that the negotiations were a figment of the whole world's collective imagination, let him. Conspiracy theories might be his way of justifying his hero's cowardly actions. Greenburg already cleared things up and let everyone know there was no reason for why Floyd went into hiding instead of getting in the ring with Manny. There's really no basis for any argument whatsoever.

So, you admit that Arum lied? You admit that Bob Arum lied about negotiating with Golden Boy Promotions, and that the " deadline " ..... was nothing but a sham?

Do you think that could possibly explain why 6 people, belonging to 3 completely different business organisations, each of those people having first-hand information - 4 of whom would be ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL to that fight being made - ALL, categorically stated that..... "there were no official negotiations"?

        I mean, honestly.....
Bob Arum lied about the negotiation and the resulting deadline - which btw, he has been doing for 40 years - and EVERY SINGLE PERSON that would be critical to making that fight happen - other than Manny and Arum - has gone on record stating that Bob Arum is blowing smoke out his asss..... how could you possibly not come to the obvious conclusion?

Neither Greenburg nor Haymon were even mentioned until Bob Arum's conference call, which was AFTER the "deadline" had expired. Up until then, Bob Arum had insisted that he was personally negotiating with Golden Boy Promotions.

" Marley claimed that Arum had only spoken to Greenburg once, months ago. And that conversation was little more than Arum telling him his demands. Demands that Golden Boy just weren't interested in.....

Arum, according to Marley, approached Greenburg with his terms for the fight. Terms, Marley suspects, that were never going to be accepted. Terms, that in regards to drug testing, were even worse than the last fight..... the big lie came with Arum's claims that these terms had been negotiated and accepted......

Arum claimed that he was waiting for Mayweather to agree to his offer, and had been dealing with Greenberg. The problem being, his dealings with Greenberg amounted to one conversation in which he sent him an awful offer, knowing full well it wouldn't work. No negotiations, talks, or discussions whatsoever.....

Dan Raphael reported that Ellerbe is not only one of the most honest guys in boxing, he's also been speaking to Greenberg regularly for weeks. These daily conversations have reportedly gone on after his claim that basically either Greenberg or Arum is a stone cold liar.....

Which suggests to most that Greenberg agrees with his pronouncement.
So what if Greenburg called Haymon to try to salvage something? At that point Bob Arum had already moved on to Margarito.....

Again, Marley is a Top Rank guy, and a noted Pacquiao backer. He reported that Arum's claims of "negotiations" and "agreements" were phony.....Arum completely and utterly exaggerated all claims of "agreements," "deals," "contracts," and "negotiations."
Margarito is next, and then it will be Cotto. That's just how it is.

Fighter, stay right there. I'm not concerned with that dan idiot or that other clown, but as soon as I get a yes or a no outa Dave, I got a question for both you guys

I've already said my piece and there really is nothing more i can add to that. I'm sorry but we just can't seem to agree in this matter and i'll have to leave it at that. I've already answered your questions to the best of my ability and if you are still not satisfied, then we'll have to leave it as such since there really isn't anything else i can contribute to this discussion.

            • Why is everyone questioning Floyd? Why doesn't anyone question why Pacquiao turned the fight down in December? Oh he pretended to be scared of needles, that's right

                I'm thinking the same.

reminds me of the "Ross Greenburg negotiation" thread.

Riight. Fight all over the place are happening without this ******, ridiculous, ped testing **** which was all based on a crackhead's accusation. Pacquiao like any one else who have been subjected to such evil accusation need not prove anything. Floyd doesn't have to fight Pacquiao if he doesn't want to. You fanboys should start looking for alternatives for you idol. People are just sick of this OST nonsense.

                      Fair enough.

But it is funny that you actually admit that Arum lied.....
and yet you still think that somehow they managed to squeeze in a genuine "negotiation" inbetween the expiration of Arum's bull**** deadline, and his conference call the following day.

That would actually have to be the most amazing negotiation in history.

And it was all done by a man who does not actually represent either of the fighters, he did it over the phone, and he did it all in less than one day LMFAO.

                      Fine.....

I think that 2+2=4..... and you think that 2+2=5.....

                      Let's leave it there then.

                      Your motives are clear.
