Floyd's random blood test demands were pointless

*****? Easy now, there are a lot of boxers I like watching more than Floyd. For the record, why is it if people agree with drug testing, that you believe they must be a "*****"?
And yes,it is a requirement if he wants to fight Floyd...atmComment

I don't think it would be a problem at all, his beef was that he felt it drained him right before the fight or during hard training sessions. It's silly to most of us but he's a superstitious bastard and that's how he thinks. In between fights where it really counts I think it would be fine.I have trouble believing boxers would submit to full year testing if they cannot be bothered to do them for one fight for 40-50 million dollars.
Nonetheless I agree, full year testing is a great idea.
As for Manny's superstition,I find it odd that it coincides with the request of drug testing and that he is having his 2nd consecutive fight in a state that doesn't demand any testing....
The Texas athletic commission doesn't do any drug testing whatsoever? I didn't realized that.Comment

Checking Cheato's hands and finding illegal substances was pointless too. Not when Arum will pull you from oblivion to reward you with the biggest payday for the biggest fight of your career when you clearly don't deserve it.
So I guess it's safe to say taking a test to find out if you may be using PED's is pointless too in the eyes of Flop Stank and Manny's Jinkees.Comment

I disagree, he has his own promotional company with millions and millions in resources, why wouldn't he demand it for his own fighters? His reasons are more than just "selfish", he doesn't care about cleaning up the sport all he cares about his himself.I agree,Floyd could have used other facets and means if he wanted to "clean up" the entire sport.I think he is only "cleaning it up" with his opponents, nobody else.It is a step in the right direction, but only where it concerns him...
It would be better for his cause to approach commissions and figure out ways to include randomized testing into their agendas....instead he just demands his opponents to take the tests....it's good, but kinda selfish.Comment
