BTW, I agree about Froch. Dude's a warrior and alot of fun to watch although I'd pick Calzone over him by outslappin, er, outworking him.

You really think Kessler "clearly" won?

Cuz' I'm pretty sure if you rewatch that fight without Calzaghe's nuts in your tonsils you'll see that Froch could have easily won 7-5.

Funny guy huh? I like Froch a hell of a lot more than Calzaghe (he actually has a personality), I just don't feel the need to wank on about him having a better resume. I don't give a **** who has a better resume and Calzaghe's resume is not great, as I said (maybe you can't read), and certainly leaves much to be desired but if you honestly think Froch has a better resume, you are bigger ****ing tool than I first thought.

No, Froch couldn't have won that fight 7-5. Go watch some more boxing and learn how to score a fight.

So, you put supposedly prime Reid on Froch's resume as one of his great wins but Mitchell sucks for Calzaghe?

What did Reid do that was so much better than Mitchell?

I love reading what logic wankers come up with. Alright, give us more of your great logic....along with prime Taylor and Reid and Pascal and Dirrell being better than Kessler, Eubanks, Hopkins, and an actual prime Reid.

Unlike you, I don't feel the need to pull out some sad agenda. I'm telling as it is. Froch's best win is Pascal or Dirrell. Calzaghe's is an old, but not shot, Hopkins or Kessler.

Anyway, I think I'll let you stick with your great ideas.

Shocking how they can consider ANY of those fights legitimate stoppages! I didn't see any punches cleanly connect on Manfredo!

Alright mate, you clearly got a lot of passion on the subject, lets crack a pint over it and agree to disagree.

I guess I'll spell it out for you since you're probably too young to remember any of this.

Byron Mitchell and Robin Reid have quite similar resumes and careers. The only big difference is that Reid is P4P one of the greatest dishes in boxing's history. Rivals Sexy Sergio, and movie star Gene Tunney as P4P one of the dishiest champs ever.

Anyway, they both lost to Calzaghe in their primes around the time of their title reigns. They also both lose very controversial decisions to Sven Ottke. Reid being penalised and warned for hitting Ottke....and Mitchell was robbed in a criminal injustice against Ottke.

As to their actual careers though?

Reid was a one time champ of the WBC and made four defenses. He beat Vincenzo Nardiello for the title and defended against Giovanni Pretorius, Henry Wharton, Hacine Cherifi and then lost the title in his fourth defense against Thulani Malinga. He would go on to fight Calzaghe and do brilliantly in a hard fought close fight, some feeling he deserved a draw or a close win. Lost his next fight to the solid Silvio Branco and then went on a brief win streak, beating such fighters as Francisco Antonio Mora and Julio Cesar Vasquez before losing to Ottke in a great robbery. He had a few more fights after this, and lost his last career fight against Froch at age 37, coming back from a brief retirement for the fight after being knocked out for the first time against Jeff Lacy two years earlier, and retired for good.

Byron Mitchell was a two time WBA champion and made five defenses all up. He beat the excellent and long time champ Frankie Liles (who was in his sixth year as champion and having his tenth title defense) for his first title win. He defended against Bruno Girard (the two time, two division WBA SMW and LHW champion). He then had his next title defense in another fight/rematch against Bruno in his hometown of France and lost his title in what many feel was an unfair decision. He then beat champions Manny Siaca for the WBA title and Julio Cesar Green in a title defense and Manny Siaca in a rematch defense before fighting for the unified championship against Sven Ottke. As with Reid, it is considered among one of the worst decisions in recent boxing history. He then fought Calzaghe and lost in a WBO title shot. He retired after this fight but came back to fight at LHW, lost his title shot against current champ Beibut Shumenov, and Otis Griffin. I believe he has a fight scheduled against some young prospect so is still fighting on.

Ahhhh no, not really. Boxing yes, this subject though? This is what all my posts look like. If I don't agree with someone who I think is being a biased fool and arrogant with all the usual grand comebacks of the typical NSB poster like "Calzaghe's nuts in your tonsils" I'll comment as I do everywhere with any topic.....just like I would on Margarito/Pac, Zappa/Kim, Hopkins/Pascal, Old vs New over in the history section.

As you obviously don't intend to actually discuss anything and I guess just made this thread as another NSB classic troll thread, sure....agree to disagree.

Cotto wins 99/100 against plaster less cheato
Don't be absurd. Cotto was getting hammered, was gassed and running. If he did have plaster (not that it was even plaster, it was a hard piece of gauze pad) it wouldn't have hardened until the latter rounds, and Cotto's face was busted up and bleeding by the third and fourth because he has no stamina and no defense. He would always lose to Margarito.
