I agree with the ts, khan can beat the today's floyd because floyd doesn't move just like in his lightweight days he's slower now and khan is much faster than him.
The extent of ignorance, or in this case, *******ation. Seriously, u people need to be banned.
I have to admit, before malignaggi I didn't know anything about khan, but now I've been watching his fights and gauging him as a fighter.
I honestly don't see how Mayweather can beat him.
Mayweather likes to fight in exchanges. He does his exchange, he steps out or wait until you've spent yours and resets again, and that's how he wins fights- by breaking you down in each exchange until you got nothing left. But Khan's reach is so deceptively long.. anytime mayweather is on the outside, khan has the advantage. The reach advantage is bad enough, but Khan's handspeed is tremendous- he might even be faster than floyd. He shoots his long ass arms like lightning, and with pinpoint accuracy too.
I see Khan either knocking out mayweather or taking him in a decision.
I can't see how you can outbox khan at this division, you need to force him into a fight to win, and mayweather has never done that.
*********Edit: I thought khan's reach was longer than it was when I wrote this(this is the first time i've really watched khan fight) and I didn't know mayweather's was that long. So I reverse my position for now, until I see more of Khan.
Even with your edit i would like to comment. Shane Mosley had a longer reach than Floyd. Yet Floyd made him look like he had midget arms and he was standing in front of him and walking him down. He was pull countering over the top and making Shane look silly in general jabbing his head off. How did he do this?? Reach disadvantage can be overcome when you are the superior judge of distance, timing and have better footwork.
The difference between you and me is that you're a fan of a man or several men, while I am a fan of boxing.
Yawn. If you were a fan of boxing, you wouldn't ask such idiotic questions. You'd know that Amir Kahn stands no chance what so ever of beating Floyd Mayweather. Now STFU you Pacquiao cawk smoker. This thread is an insult to any TRUE boxing fan's intelligence. I'm through with your idiocy.

We're talking about Amir Khan man. Amir Khan. Not a 1981 Ray Leonard, not a 1985 Donald Curry, not a 1940s Ray Robinson, but Amir Khan. Amir Khan. How is Amir Khan this special fighter? Amir Khan. Amir Khan.
Khan's got talent and athleticism, and seems to be working out some of his flaws, but I'm yet to really be all that convinced.
He's a big 140 lb fighter, and has mainly been fighting physically smaller guys without much of a punch. He looked sharp against Malignaggi, but Malignaggi is a featherfisted guy. I'm not sold on his ability to take a shot. Even before the Prescott massacre, he was dropped by other guys who were far from big puncher. Mayweather may be no Hearns but he's a sharp and respectable puncher who hits hard enough to get the respect of bigger, sturdier chins guys than Khan.
Khan, despite some improvements, is also still relatively raw and unpolished (for a world class fighter).
