Khan has several question marks before he can fight someone like Floyd. Perhaps, he needs to beat a couple of the top 140lbs and then prove that he can take on a 147 lbs fighter.

His next fight is a step in the right direction. If he does what I say and looks good doing it then he could talk about a fight and potentially beating Floyd.

He's definitely got the speed and the right tools (that jab is a great weapon) and Roach in his corner definitely helps. He doesn't have the experience yet, but by late 2011 he'll be ready and mayweather will be older, so it would be a pickem fight for me. That's IF he gets paast Maidana and Bradley/Alexander

Khan is not ready for Floyd Mayweather so please stop day dreaming.

Floyd would dominate Khan and possibly stop him.

We're talking about Floyd Mayweather here haters. The same Floyd who just totally dismantled Shane Mosley. Made him look foolish. What on Earth has Kahn done to make people actually think for ONE second that he can beat Floyd. Unless Floyd somehow got drastically old overnight, he's not losing to Amir Kahn. It just won't happen. Figures, this thread is started by a Pacquiao supporter. You know, I like Pacman. But his fans have to be some of the most idiotic fans of any player, or team, in all of sports. They might as well refer to him as "God" or "Lord".
            who trying to discredit mayweather?

Anybody can beat anybody, just because your panties get tight at the mention of floyd not being perfect and invincible doesn't mean that nobody has a chance, or that he shouldn't fight anybody because he's gonna beat them anyway.

You don't win fights by your accomplishments- That's how you rank fighters against fighters they have never fought. Maybe you're getting that confused.

Who had Pacquiao beat when he beat Barrera?

Who had buster douglas beat when he beat Mike Tyson?

Who had foreman beat when he beat frazier?

Who had Vitali beat when he was beating Lewis on points?

The difference between you and me is that you're a fan of a man or several men, while I am a fan of boxing.

Mayweather likes to fight in exchanges. He does his exchange, he steps out or wait until you've spent yours and resets again, and that's how he wins fights- by breaking you down in each exchange until you got nothing left. But Khan's reach is so deceptively long.. anytime mayweather is on the outside, khan has the advantage. The reach advantage is bad enough, but Khan's handspeed is tremendous- he might even be faster than floyd. He shoots his long ass arms like lightning, and with pinpoint accuracy too.

I see Khan either knocking out mayweather or taking him in a decision.

I can't see how you can outbox khan at this division, you need to force him into a fight to win, and mayweather has never done that.

*********Edit: I thought khan's reach was longer than it was when I wrote this(this is the first time i've really watched khan fight) and I didn't know mayweather's was that long. So I reverse my position for now, until I see more of Khan.

                Khan isn't a great boxer.

The problem is, Mayweather is one of the top 50 greatest boxers of all time.

Mayweather would win close in a boxing match with Khan - at least from gauging Mayweather's last fight.

That said, I don't think that Mayweather is in his prime anymore. I think that he will now be on the decline and with Khan coming into his own, he might be able to meet Mayweather at that crossroads where Khan's skills now beat Mayweather's skills now. That doesn't mean Khan will ever be as good as Mayweather is, but it does mean that fighters fight on a continuum of their own skill. Khan could very well be at a higher level on his own continuum than Mayweather is on his.

I didn't count that possibility out when I wrote this either. I started noticing floyd's decline in speed as early as the hatton fight- at least compared to his featherweight days, where he was the fastest thing i've ever seen.

It was worse during the marquez fight, and by the mosley fight, he was nowhere near as fast as he used to be.

I agree with the ts, khan can beat the today's floyd because floyd doesn't move just like in his lightweight days he's slower now and khan is much faster than him.

Floyd as people are saying here would be justifiable favourite against Khan. But like many fights that didnt get made with Floyd he is favourite but he dont have to fight, and being favourite in a potential fight is enough for floyd.
