Bob is right for a change. If I was Berto I'd take the 1 million dollars or what he's being offered and fight Miguel. A win over Miguel means bigger and better paydays but we all know he won't do that cause Miguel would put a beating on him. I agree with most of you point, but it would not be fair for Cotto, who has a huge following to go 50-50 with Berto who brings a very small percentage of fans and money. He will be lucky if they offer him 60-40 but that's not the problem. The problem is that the offer has not been made and will not be made and that is very unfair to the parties and the fans.
The old maricon doesn't negotiate any more. He tell the press and awaits for the begging call from Dibella, just like He's not negotiating with ANY other promoter.
The old maricon should retire since He's doing more harm than good right now.

I agree but just as the then number 1 LHW Joe Calzaghe did for Roy Jones Jr who didn't deserve equal money because of his down fall since 2004 and his recent lack of audience, they made it happen for 50-50. Fans of the two wanted to see them, even if it was 10-15 years too late!

The fans should be deciding not a promoter. This is why UFC is KILLING it! If boxing keeps this up, UFC will soon be called number 1 as far as popularity and PPV numbers.

Berto has good skills & is a good fighter, but he isn't great!!! Berto stuggled(in My eye's & in many others Berto lost) against Collazo & didn't look impressive against a smaller, no defense, come foward & slow Juan Urango & it took him 8 rounds to KO a very tired & dehydrated Quintana(from the 3rd round on Quintana was gasping for aire & Cotto blew out an in shape Quintana in 4 rounds).. Yet Cotto has better skills & power than these fighters!! & I'm refering to a post Pacquiao Cotto!! & a while back Cotto's people made Berto an offer & Berto's people said thay had other plans & Cotto went on to fight Clottey & Berto went on to fight the smaller Urango... I think if they were to fight, Cotto will take Berto out from 8 to 10 rounds..
