    Berto is over paid.

Still doesnt change the fact that Atrum is just being cheap. Nothing other than Haymon-Arum beef can stop this fight.

So what if Berto is gonna make a million dollars for his next fight. What do you guys care? Sound like a bunch of women. If you guys are so sure Berto is overhyped and overpaid let's put him in there with Cotto who you guys say will destroy Berto and let Cotto derail the hype train. But nooo you guys seem content on just talking about what Cotto will do to Berto instead of actually seeing it. Sounds to me like you're not so sure afterall. It's obvious to everyone who is not puerto rican that Cotto is done! Last I checked his last fight with Foreman which was a title fight was not on PPV. So all this drawing power? please get real cotto ain't drawing ****. We all know he's damaged goods. And Arum is just trying to make as much off of him before someone retires him.

Would like to see this fight for sure, it would be at 154lbs and that would favour cotto

I'm all for a fighter getting his due, but not when it comes at the expense of ruining the sport and potential great match ups.

Now Berto is making 1.2 mil for fighting a guy that anyone outside of a diehard fan has never heard of. Bob does have a point. I can understand him making that much for a high profile fight against a high profile fighter, but not against the likes of Freddy Hernandez. I hope HBO takes a big hit on this one.

Even if you hate Arum, you have to admit he has a point here. Berto already priced himself out of a Mosley fight and HBO just made matters worse by giving into Haymon and GROSSLY overpaying Andre to fight a journeyman. From now on, Berto (who fights once in a blue moon) will feel entitled to more money than he deserves against proven draws such as Cotto and that will kill many fights involving him in the future. HBO screwed up big time on this.

Andre will fight even less than he does now and he'll settle for the bum of the month club since Greenburg and co. can't say no to Haymon as long as he has Floyd in his pocket.

berto. And cotto has like 20 times more then bertos,And still berto would
still want 50-50.It will be best for the sport if hernandez beats him.

It's because berto has Haymon in his corner.

If Saul signed Al Haymon as an adviser he'd be getting the same deals if not better.

Can't blame a guy for cashing in before taking bigger riskier fights.

He has talent but he is FAR from a million dollar a fight boxer, especially when you have guys like Williams and Martinez splitting that kind of money......lol.
Berto is definitely a hype job at the moment but have to admire
his business team for getting him that deal with HBO. I think their
going to milk it for as long as they can and that's why their working
over time to keep Berto Undefeated and looking good in the ring
against lesser opponents. His next fight with that guy Hernandez
should show something because Hernandez has a good record and
power. It would be most fitting if Berto got his head handed to him
by a not so known fighter just for his picking him as a stepping stone
                  for Andre Berto.

I'm all for him cashing in as long as he doesnt overvalue, or out price himself for future bouts.

It's ironic that Haymon represents Paul Williams and he looks
for all the big fights to get paid and Berto doesn't and gets paid.
Boxing has really become increasingly greedy. Do these promoters
and fighters see what is happening in the sport? Or if they do,
do they truly care? I don't think so because most of boxing nowadays
is about talking and making excuses on why not to fight a fighter
that has the potential to beat you. Boxing is just like the music
industry. All hype and no substance.
