Nice to see someone give Tua his just credit. I'm perfectly happy if anyone wants to rank any other fighter above him in punch power, provided they can produce a solid argument to do so, but to just straight dismiss him or laugh in the face of comparisons with Shavers, Foreman, Liston, Marciano, Baer et al simply pisses me off. Tua could **** with the best of them and certainly deserves to be ranked with past punching greats.
As for being a better puncher than Shavers, he certainly possessed better speed, technique and accuracy that Shavers, and I also think more raw power. However, he always had the intensely frustrating habit of just switching off in fights, letting an opponent tee off on his giant Samoan skull whilst plodding around bobbing his head ineffectually from side to side. Shavers on the other hand always went for the KO, and frequently got it. His killer instinct was switched on from the word go. He has Tua beat in that regard.
Tyson was better than both, in my opinion, if not in raw power than in the sheer devastation he wreaked with his incredible offence.

Like Tyson his prime was short lived...Guy is still fighting though, I think Wlad could take him, a good jab wins a fight against Tua, just gotta run from him. Even when he fought Lewis he just wasn't the same beast, don't know if that was Tua or Lewis' awesome skills.
