... been following boxing my whole life. No Ceilings/Burner i almost always agree with your posts. Your usually right on the money.

Roy had skills, accuracy, power, combinations ... and MOST of all, he came and brought the fire and made opponents look amature... he didn't run and pot shot like floyd. I am a floyd fan though... Pac too, but lets not fake the funk and act like floyd ****s, cause he don't. Burner if you think Roy Jones didn't have any skills, then you must think the same about Pacman ... cause manny and roy are cut from the same cloth bro.

another thing roy had skills but he replied on his reflexes and speed so much that by time his reflexes slowed he didnt know anyother way to fight. he has plenty of skills. but only a real boxer and trainer and real fans would notice the little things he do. the ability to throw fast accurate punch combinations and still be on balance with power takes alot of skills. the ability to catch and fire takes alot of skills. the ability to roll with punches takes skills. the ability to stay in pocket and know when someones going to throw by reading the shoulders take skills. its jsut his skills were overshadowed by his speed and reflexes and him clowning people you didnt see it. and by time that was gone he was too shot to show it. roy was highly skilled as well as talented anyone who believes otherwise is damn boxing fool

ACTUALLY...he is right, Roy dominated for years purely by his SUPERIOR Athleticism, Speed and Quickness, not to take anything away from Roy but he did not have great BOXING skills and once he started to slow down physically, all of his flaws was exposed, the flaws that nobody could exploit while he was in his Prime because he was so damn fast

he was a great fighter IMO and it was great to watch his athleticism in the ring
