in my honest opinion i think cotto fought the wrong fight and margo fought the fight of his life that night
Spot on, Cotto has is a prime example of a prizefighter with the mentality of a bully. He panics once he finds out he can't HURT someone instead of outboxing them. Khan has a glass chin, Cotto reacts like a glass cannon. The same **** happened in the manny fight.

Cotto claimed marg wouldn't allow him to go to the body and doesn't ever clinch.

And what makes you think it was panic that caused Cotto to lose? Where did you see panic?

Are you ****** Margarito showed an unreal chin that night most 147 lbs would have been taken out by the 3rd or 4th if they took the shots he took that night

I have explained it before...Cotto took just about as many shots from Mosley and looked fine. He took more jabs and power shots from Pacquiao and he was busted up, but in my opinion, did not look as bad as against cheato. He took about 15% more power shots from Pacquiao and a hell of a lot more jabs.
I thought he looked worse after the Pac fight. Margarito hit Cotto with much harder and more damaging shots than Mosley did. I'm not going to claim Margarito didn't have plaster, but for the shots he hit Cotto with it makes sense how much damage was done after seeing how bad Pac messed Cotto up.

Cotto is so front foot heavy his style is made to be eating uppercuts. He got away with it for so long and he got caught up in the Margo fight. He didn't clinch or hit Margo on the body to slow him down i the attack. Plaster or no plaster (which I think he had) Cotto was getting hit too much.

Steward has corrected some of the problems and also is not having Cotto fighting with his head so foward from his feet, he can see punches comming at him better and not get hit so dry when they connect.

dont get me wrong..cotto is a very solid fighter and has alot of talent...but he also has alot of defensive flaws and those flaws get exposed by fighters who are willing to walk thru the fire

thats a great take on the fight. always respect a good lil anylization of a boxing fight when i see 1. i just dont believe margarito woke up the day of the mosley fight and decided he needed 2 have plaster wraps in order 2 beat him. he did just fight the fight of his life right??? he should have been riding high and had all the confidence in the world.
