Toney was "beat-up" by Roy Jones jr. Roy mocked him in the ring and totally dominated him. He hurt his pride and his body. Toney has definitely been hurt.

James Toney has never been knocked out, and just for the record the decision losses to montel griffin have gone down as being two of the worst robberies in boxing history (Toney was so disgusted thats why he quit fighting for a little while).

Fair enough Jones didn't KO him, I always thought he had so my bad. However I do remember most of that fight and I totally remember when Roy leaned forward and made Toney miss and Toney tried that **** and got "slapped". I also remember how much a favourite Toney was and how bad he lost, bad enough I even thought it was a KO. Just like in this post how Toney is somehow favourite and would never even get to be a 190lb+ Heavyweight anywhere near his prime; and if he did he would lose here too.Comment

He did go down vs Griffin, I am not sure he was knocked out, I saw the clip where he went down on a Best Damn Fight Period, They spoke about Griffin accomplishments and showed the part of Toney going down, I guess he wasnt knocked out, but he was knocked down vs Griffin.He lost twice to Griffin. That day was a T.V fight of Griffin Vs Julio Cesar Gonzales where the winner will get a title shot for a vacant title Vs Clinton Woods,Gonzales beat Griffin so Gonzales and Woods are soon gonna fight for a title.
