This is not the same as asking a guy who fought at 147 and 154 his entire career to come in at 157.

It's pointless, but totally not the same as what Pacquiao does. Martinez will not be weight drained at 157. He will be just as efficient as he is at 154 and 160. Pointless, yes. Advantageous for Paul the way it was advantageous for Manny? Not even close.

You *******s really are the worst boxing fans in the world. Just join a Manny fansite, **** a boxing forum.
Exactly. TS is a ******* who changed his name.

NEWSFLASH: Williams is fighting the best, Pacquiao is fighting a tuneup. Oh yeah, and they're both at catchweights. One is on PPV. Now take this thread and shove it up your ass.

Paul should just come in light like he did the first time. I hate catch weight title fights.

The question is: Why Paul Williams is not fighting for the middleweight title? Why fight at 157? It's just ****** if you ask me.

            1. First, there is no confirmationfrom either camp thats it even a catch weight in the first place.

            2. If there is a 157 pound catch weight my guess is that Williams is trying to give off the illusion that he can fight under 160 Pounds still.

            3. Also he was trying to get to 147 Pounds and is nowhere near 160 Pounds right now.

            4. Why would Williams ask for a catch weight that WILL NOT affect Martinez in any way?

Stop overreacting everybody. Larry you said it yourself hes fought at 160 over 15 times. So that right there tells you it has nothing to do with trying to gain some advantage as the NSB trolls are on a mission to prove.

I remember you made a thread about Pacquiao CHEATING HISTORY because of catchweights, mate.

So, with the same logic like your thread, is Paul Williams also cheating history if the catchweight offer is true?

Sergio's title shouldn't be on the line.

it doesn't matter? so you're okay with title fights taking place in fights with different limits? so I guess you're okay changing the rules entirely aren't you? how is there nothing wrong with this? this is a ****ing disgrace, both Paul Williams and Sergio Martinez will lose respect from me if they do this..

don't bypass the wrong doing of the fighters involved just because "it's going to be a good fight", honestly I would rather not watch this fight if it's going to be like this, I would prefer that they DON'T fight instead of fighting but at a ****ty ass catch weight title fight. this really upsets me, seriously man Boxing has been taking a nose dive recently with all these catch weights and bull **** like that, fighters don't have to be fighters anymore, you can win world title without even fighting under the proper weight limit, it's going to ****..

They should just change the normal weight to the catchweight and see what boxers do then.

It doesn't matter coz no matter what anyone does this fight's bound to happen, and nothing anyone here in NSB can do something about it. The promoter and fighters all had it figured out, and whatever stipulation is (catchweights, hair pulling pre-fight blah blah) there's no stopping it.

                      Very simple.

Don't watch the fight, lose respect for the fighter, the show's all goin' through even if people who don't like it jump off a cliff.
