I'm not a big Maidana fan but he should touch Khan, if Amir can take a few he should handle him easy. A few has always been a big problem.Comment

This Exactly, In a match between a boxer/boxer-puncher and a slugger/brawler, the superior boxer "should" be assumed to win, but, but brawler has that one punch chance, but in boxing chance is not the way to win, Amir should win this, but if chino can somehow find a way to change his style during camp to more of a Slugger-Swarmer id give chino the edge, because ppl who box agree with me, a swarmer is a boxers nightmare. Chino needs to find a way to swarm Amir but not wrecklessly because Amir would most likely take advantage. Carfull yet effective and agressive swarming is the key for Chinos Victory, but since chino dosent have swarming in his game it will be hard to learn how to master it during one camp. I Favor Amir to TKO Maidana in 10.Comment

In any case, Khan isn't remotely comparable with either of the guys you mentioned yet. And plenty of good and even great boxers have lost to pressure fighters. Sandy Saddler had Willie Pep's number, and Pep was possibly the greatest defensive boxer of all time. Ali was a far better boxer than Frazier, but decisively lost their first fight. Leonard was a better boxer than Duran, but he also decisively lost their first fight. Ray Robinson was a far better boxer than all of the people he lost to.
People who generalise and over-simplify like you do simply don't know much about boxing.Last edited by Dave Rado; 09-17-2010, 02:39 PM.Comment
