Ortiz and Maidana were pretty even in power dept and that's Khan's weakness, or so we think. But Ortiz right now is not right, something is missing. Maidana took the HEART out of Ortiz in their fight, and that's the big difference! Well Khan KOs both IMO.. Maidana 10th : Ortiz 5th

Maidana's biggest pay day till date is 300k. Paulie earned 400k when fighting Amir. Its ridiculous that Maidana is asking more than Paulie got. He is asking triple his biggest pay day.
If Maidana doesn't want it, Ortiz can have it. Ortiz is a much better fighter than Maidana and a tougher fight for Amir anyways.

Yeah, what did I say? People should wait for promotion to begin before getting all happy and jacked for a fight. I'll believe it only when I see posters, press conferences and staredowns. Until then, Khan could still end up fighting Morales in December for all we know.

Maidana is pricing himself out. He better take what's offered to him because he will never make that much money anyway... Either he fights Khan and get's a career high pay day or he continues to price himself out and earns nothing.
I think Khan will beat Maidana with relative ease. Maidana has power but that's it, I doub't he will even get close to Khan to land those shots.
Ortiz is a much harder fight for Khan. Ortiz can punch probably just as hard as Maidana but the difference is Ortiz has good boxing skills and speed. I think Ortiz would knock Khan out.

Seems fair enough to me, Except Ortiz is a bum who has never been a world champion, so if Khan beats Ortiz he wont get any credit for it.
Then Maidana the illiterate is being fleeced by his handlers and cant read a contract or speak a world of english, So why Maidana would outprice himself of a chance at the full world title is beyond me.
Khan shouldnt fight for less than he is worth, Khan is the champion and Maidana is not the champion, Therefore Maidana will have to accept the terms decided by the Khan camp or no fight.
Boxing is a learning curve, and most fighters answer the "intestinal fortitude" questions before they turn pro.....
..... but I have a sneaky su****ion that we should not write-off Ortiz just yet. Boxing is a learning curve, and Vic learnt two hugely valuable lessons in that fight, both of which could serve him very well in future.
I got Ortiz giving Khan a much harder fight stylistically than Maidana would, and I also got him most likely beating Maidana in a rematch, possibly by TKO.

Ortiz, he was in a close fight against Maidana that could have gone either way still and he decided to quit when the going got tough.
..... but Khan hasn't faced a puncher since Prescott, so there are question marks over him for basically the exact same reason.
Boxing is a learning curve, and Ortiz climbed a mental hurdle just by getting back into the ring.
Just by fighting again he proved to me that he learnt at least one valuable lesson from that disaster, most likely he learnt two things.
Vic was forced to go down to the well one more time, and he couldn't make it..... well, he decided that he wants another chance to walk through adversity..... let's give the kid that chance.
Amir got a second chance, it'll be interesting to see what Vic makes of his.
