  • Comments Thread For: Team Khan: Maidana Has Not Agreed, Asking For Big Bucks

Veteran scribe Dave Anderson of The Mirror was advised by Amir Khan's camp that Marcos Maidana has not yet agreed to the financial terms of their proposed junior welterweight contest for December 11, confirming our earlier report. Khan's camp is sending a message that Maidana is requesting too much money for the fight. Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer told BoxingScene.com last week that Maidana is not going to take "short money" for a clash with Khan.

same old **** from Khan and co.....continue to call out big names and make excuses as to why these fights never get done, when in fact he has no intention of fighting Maidana at all.

To be honest, I dont mind Ortiz then Maidana, Then Bradley-Alexander winner.

Seems fair enough to me, Except Ortiz is a bum who has never been a world champion, so if Khan beats Ortiz he wont get any credit for it.

Then Maidana the illiterate is being fleeced by his handlers and cant read a contract or speak a world of english, So why Maidana would outprice himself of a chance at the full world title is beyond me.

Khan shouldnt fight for less than he is worth, Khan is the champion and Maidana is not the champion, Therefore Maidana will have to accept the terms decided by the Khan camp or no fight.

I don't know what to believe, but on the real, I don't see what Khan has to fear. I mean, Maidana is a puncher of course, but he has nothing else in his arsenal that would trouble Amir Khan. I'd atleast like to know what was offered to Maidana.

            You're the definition of Khunt.

When has knowing English and being literate been mandatory to earn what you're worth Khunt?

Maidana just sold 16000 against Corley who's just a gatekeeper at this point. So he should get paid what he's worth.

Keep thinking Ortiz is just a bum, you're going to be on his nuts when he accomplishes what he can.

Khan probably would make Ortiz say "No Mas" again. Atleast when Khan lost, he lost trying to win. His chin failed him, not his heart. Khan's no quitter, he can't help that he wasn't born with the best chin. Ortiz, he was in a close fight against Maidana that could have gone either way still and he decided to quit when the going got tough.

I could be wrong, but I have a feeling those bombs would miss.
