those dates are less than a month away.... i agree that they signed a contract to fight, but give them both adequate time showtime, it cheats the sport and the fans unless they both come in 100% ready and willing

They've had almost a year to prepare for this fight. But even in terms of training between fights, they've both had at least the past two months. You don't need a venue to train for a fight and I love the fact that Showtime is giving them a deadline.

Hopefully lesson learned and that any other tournament put together by Showtime doesn't include Dan Goossen or any of his fighters.

            Agreed, Goosen ****s me.

On another note, i feel really sorry for Lou Dibella. He seems like a pretty legit guy (as legit as a boxing promoter can be) however this tournament has been a really poor investment for him. He has lost draw power on Allan Green and has lost Jermaine Taylor all together.

they probably dont want to fight because theyre good friends in real life.

I can sort of understand that. Its kind of like how the Klitschko bros wont fight one another

that being said, Im VERY glad that Showtime is putting their foot down for this fight. This fight needs to happen, regardless of them being friends.

They both knew when they signed on for the tournament that they may/would end up having to fight one another at some point and I don't believe that their friendship is what's keeping this fight from moving forward. If that is the case however, that's completely unprofessional and they should be ashamed of themselves. The fact that Showtime has stepped in with the threat of legal action tells me something serious is going on behind the scenes however.

Showtime has done the right thing and I hope that they fight on the same night as Froch and Abe. Neither guy has any excuse for not already being prepared. I'm expecting one of these guys to suddenly develop an injury in the next few days however and postpone the fight 3 more months.

i like how Showtime told them to put their friendship aside and honor the S-6 contract they signed

best friends have fought before...Simon Brown and Maurice Blocker come to mind
                    i totally agree.

Unprofessional is what it is. Another blow to boxing if the fight doesn't happen.
