Its pretty hard for a boxer to win in mma. Like its hard being at a construction site and all you bring is one too. When all you got is a hammer and the job calls for a screw driver your FKED!!!!!!!!!

I believe it would - Purely hypothetical of course - i believe a wrestler could survive a boxers onslaught if taught proper defensive techniques and the moment he gets past the 1st minute he then gets to see if his ground game can subdue the boxer and the roles have been reversed... James Toney actually lasted over a minute on the ground, it would've been nice to stand them both up and see if he could've produced anything after struggling and possible gassing out on the ground...

Yes I'm sure some wrestlers would prefer it, but the fact that it is banned outright is beneficial for no one but wrestlers.

It disables on ground mobility for boxers, and limits the foot as a weapon for kickers (strikers).

Wrestlers can still do everything they do, regardless of whether or not they have shoes on.

Tony had the striking advantage, while Randy had the wrestling advantage. Tony failed to implement his craft, while Randy did. The wrestler beat the boxer. That's all there is to it.

anytime that a boxer is not fighting under boxing rules we arent going to see the same fighter, so thanks to the Toney Couture debacle, i am no longer interested in these two sports mashing. you will never see a MMA fighter stand with a boxer. and since its a huge disadvantage for mma fighters to stand with boxers, all we would see is takedowns and submissions. not really my kind of fight, no offense to Randy Couture but he practically threw himself on the floor and crawlled over to grab Toney's foot and as a boxing fan (stand up fan) i can't get excited over that. so enough with this, lets get back to Boxing. back to the toe to toe action, im not into wrestling.
