I hope your not talking about Toney fighting in UFC, because if Cotoure came over to our side and tried to fight Toney he would get knocked the **** out! 2 different sports completely, the one who picks the turf wins. The fight tonight means nothing this was just another ****ty attempt for Dana White to prove that MMA is better than boxing.

Iam a young man, in my early 20s.

Ive been a diehard boxing fan since I was about 10.

Thats over 10 years Ive been a boxing fan, and this is the worst night Ive ever seen. Tonight was 100% ****ing embarassment to the sport. We've been made to look like a joke sport, illegitimate, uncredible.

      We need to salvage ourselves.

      Tonight is an insult, embrassing.

We need to salvage our sport. Boxing promoters need to get an MMA guy to fight in boxing rules so we can have a win. We need it.

In 10 years of being a boxing fan, tonight is the worst night for boxing

An MMA fighter fighting in boxing doesn't prove anything. I want to see a boxer win in MMA or on the street.

God, Who are you? is about the most pathetic poster I've ever seen on this forum.

I'm more embarrassed by your behavior as a boxing fan than I am for Toney's defeat.

If you were a boxing fan you would watch boxing. There were 2 great fights tonight and it appears instead of watching them you watched a sport you aren't a fan of, and then decided to make numerous posts about how the sport you watched is owning the sport you are a huge fan of even though it seems if you were a diehard boxing fan you would actually watch boxing and ignore the mainstream media who have **** on boxing for years...

I watched the entire Segura/Calderon card and I thought it was great

I love boxing and I am very sad at what happened tonight

This sport is dying in USA and in fact, Its already a lost cause.

This sport is beautiful but was managed totally incorrectly, and now we are secondary to UFC

Disgusting and I will always support boxing even as a niche sport.

But we were embarassed tonight, and we've lost any value in USA

This sport is dead in USA and I wouldnt be surprised if HBO Boxing is discontinued soon (next 2 or 3 yrs)

Showtime has already began to show more MMA (strikeforce) than Boxing

                HBO will follow suit.

And there will come a day, when *no one* shows boxing in USA on primetime TV.

That day is probably sometime in the next 4 years.

Even Couture admitted he'd get his ass kicked in a boxing match with Toney. Couture is just smart enough to not challenge a boxer at his own game.
Forgive me if I want boxing to become a mainstream and network sport again in America dip shi.t

you know there was a time when boxing wasn't a niche sport and you could see the likes of Duran, Sugar Ray, De La Hoya, ect. on local channels like CBS....UFC has a bigger chance of getting that spot than boxing

                    easy to understand kid?

I dont know how someone can be a boxing fan and not be alarmed that Showtime is now showing more MMA than Boxing.

Realistically, Boxing is losing any mainstream appeal and its only a matter of time before NO networks show pro boxing.

HBO has had a bad year (Jacobs, Dawson, Alexander)

Ive heard rumours HBO is planning on discontinuing boxing over the next 2c years

so I dont know how you can be a boxing fan and not have any feeling toward that
