Well all those boxing historians say pac is the best southpaw ever, Bert Sugar puts Pac top 15 ATG not too long ago. That might have been before the cotto fight.

what the whole thing comes down to when comparing current fighters with ATGs is, could they have competed in any era? fighters today often duck and cherrypick oponents, greats in past eras didnt do that. they fought everyone so u knew who the best was, including taking on guys with diffrent styles and being forced to adapt. thats key, being able to adapt to any style. many fighters today dont have that ability and manny for one is yet to be tested in that regard, since he is amongst the fighters who cherrypicked ppl who has a good style for him. that puts him far from the top 20 in my book.

one thing MP has over some of his contemporaries is his body of work... specially in this stage of his career...

I know it's unfair to judge him yet, but to say he's in he top 20 is imo kind of ludicrous, judge him when his career is over not now. Would be more fair, if we judge him in the top 20 / 10 with the like of Sam Langford and SRR it sets him at a higher standard then everyone else and everyone is expecting him to do more amazing things because he's still fighting and if he doesn't then people will mark him down, if you know what I mean :P, may have worded it a bit confusingly.

Heh, yeah it's extremely hard to compile a decent list, all of them can be taken apart depending on how much a person knows about different / certain boxers.
